Domestic Drama O1 competition

Hi all,

Our mission here at Moviestorm is to discover a new wave of talented filmmakers and storytellers from around the world and provide them with an outlet for their creativity.

You, our Moviestorm users, are the film makers and the Moviestorm stars. You are the ones creating the media, redefining the medium, the ones with the potential to revolutionize the industry. We are simply the ones providing you with the tools.

What you create with the Domestic Drama 01 pack is entirely up to you. As it's equally appropriate for offices and stores, lofts and homes, video blogging diary rooms and talk shows, or even a contemporary hotel foyer, we know you will push your own creative boundaries with it.

Upload the movies you create with Domestic Drama 01 over the next two weeks and we will award prizes to the winner in each of the following categories:

Best dramatic moment
Best comedy
Best suspense
Best video blog
Best talk show
Best interior/pimped lounge
Most original dramatic story

We will announce exactly what the prizes will be next week

I might do one. I am not sure. To be honest I hate contests, but since you are giving 500 points just to enter, I might do it. I am not a competitive person.

When is the actual finish date for this competition, I am trying to make a movie but life keeps getting in the way and I have to stop and attend to it, damn life.

That happens to me too. Anyway I believe we have to have them in by October 31 and I know what you mean by life getting in the way but I will try my best to get one done myself.

Well I have made a movie called Frankie & Johnny its sought of a comedy?, but you will probably have to download it because all I get when it plays is the sounds and no vision.
I downloaded it and watched it through so its ok.

I don't know now if I will have time to finish my movie for the contest. My new computer will be here the middle of next week and since I will be able to have shadows with the new computer, I don't want to release this movie without that feature. I just have not decided yet. I hate to enter a movie that is handicapped because of no shadows. Also I have been immersed in Band in a Box - music making software that is fabulous and wonderful. My second love is music and the idea that I can create my own background music is more and more appealing.

Your so lucky to be multi talented, the closest thing I have to music talent is being able to turn on the radio

P.S. Your movie could probably stand on its own without the use of shadows

I have always loved music but I have been to lazy to really learn to play an instrument but I used to bang around on the piano sometimes. With a program like Band in a Box, all you do is play a melody and the program does the rest. It is quite fun and easy to use. I highly recommend that program to all and believe me I really did try out a lot of them.

Oh good. I am making a really terrific movie that my daughter and I are writing and we are both acting in it as well as my husband and son and whoever else happens to walk in the door. HA HA. And I was not going to enter because I didn't want to just rush it through.
