About fansites: you might want to have a look at FSN. They are already geared at machinima in general and not just at TM even though they seem to be. I'm usualy in the chat room on Friday afternoons

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

May the Muses inspire you today.

I certainly think the demand is there for this product. I think you should talk to the staff here before "representing" them.

I think there's a lot that machinima enthusiasts can share in general. I think that's a good way for the fansites to go. I'll have to look up that other website address I was talking about.

I got confused! sorry!

Remember: we're talking about things we want with sets and themes and such!

Are there going to be animals? I've mentioned horses, but I think we need dogs (and cows, if there are to be cowboys)!

Would anyone want bug-eyed lizzard-man space aliens?

Maybe not initially, but in an add-on I'd love to see dragons, serpents, giant ants... that kind of fun stuff!

Military stuff... uniforms, walkie talkies, rifles

I'm not into it, but I surprised no one has mentioned "ninjas"? throwing shurican? oriental style sword play?

Medieval knights, sword play?

Ancient Greek/Roman/Biblical clothing?

Bar Scenes... Bar, bar stools, pouring bottles, sitting at table talking, drinking from glasses... maybe drinking from bottle? card playing at table.

people talking while sitting at table. Maybe some finger pointing/gesturing on table... writing with pen on paper.

public phone booth for older-time movies.

Restaurant... waitressing, ordering with menus

(have I mentioned "spaceships"? "proper" protective space suits, black leathery suits, "Han Solo" outfit w/holster and gun)

Flying positions to film in front of moving backdrop. Mod-able emblem on chest/cape/belt (for BiggsTrek and Underpants Man! )

Ok, being "mr corporate" for a second (not sure if that needs a costume), of all the things above can we break the list down as follows:

1 - "man, I have to have this and will PAY YOU MONEY"
2 - "this would be cool, but only if its free, or nearly free"
3 - "jeepers, gimme a copy of 3DSMax and I can do that in 10 minutes"
4 - "OK, I'll make that, but someone is going to have to pay me"

We do keep a list of everything mentioned in this thread, and are working on the schedule for content packages as well as hosting and distribution of modder created content packages.

lol ... I don't guess "Mr Corporate's" costume consists of a red oufit w/ white fur-trim (w/hat to match), black boots, and a team of reindeer?
(What movie is it that has the catch phrase, "I'd buy THAT for a dollar!")

Things I'd buy!:
Ancient Greek/Roman/Biblical clothing and facades

Bar Scenes... (modern day, and old west) Bar, bar stools, pouring bottles, sitting at table talking, drinking from glasses... maybe drinking from bottle? card playing at table. People talking while sitting at table. Maybe some finger pointing/gesturing on table... writing with pen on paper.

A Private Eye Pack... public phone booth for older-time movies. A puddle of water/blood treated like a rug that I can mod and place where I want.

Restaurant Pack... waitressing, ordering with menus, people eating

A brawling/boxing/wrestling pack

A spaceship futuristic-type story-pack where we can manipulate spaceships, and maybe have them fire on each other... with "realistic" flight (movement like gliding on ice). "proper" protective space suits, black leathery suits, "Han Solo" outfit w/holster and gun) (ed... and if the original release doesn't provide human-shaped robots, I'd want them in this add-on pack.)

Cowboy movies pack... Old west town (buildings) facade (and m/f clothing... fem- both dresses and cowboy outfits)and want horses and horse-riding... and falling off horses and buildings... various cacti: sahuaro, organ pipe, cholla..., palo verde trees, tumble weeds and (bleached) steer skulls.

Animals pack w/ dogs, horses, cows, cougers, coyotes

(I can't even spell "3DSMax" in 10 minutes)

At, say, $20 a pop (or whatever is considered "pocket change"?), I probably wouldn't get these things all at once... I'd prioritize and get maybe one or two a month.

... but that's just me!

ed... oh, and ... Super-Hero-Mighty-man/ and Super-Heroine-Mighty-woman... with cape and briefs on the outside of pants (woman w/fishnet stockings)... over-sized gloves, variety of masks (ed. and tiaras). Flying positions to film in front of moving backdrop. Mod-able emblem on chest/cape/belt (I'd by THAT for a dollar or 20.) ...with kung fu grip and feats of strength.

I would buy a "pack" of any of the areas I covered. What I wouldn't want to do is have to buy a cabin here, a lakefront there, a canoe somewhere else. Not only from a pricing issue, but then things don't look like they belong together.

That's one of the problems I have with Renderosity. If you buy from two or three different vendors, it looks like you got stuff from two or three different sources...

My .02 worth.

You can always check out my latest stuff here.
