These foley sounds don't really bother me. Editing in vegas none of the sounds or recorded dialogue appear in the editor, I have mentioned this before

A separate question,
With the changes to the STORE if I were to eventually install the new versions of old content packs (such as the wardrobe packs) would they conflict with the old packs, replace them, or would I end up with two of the same of some things?
If you decided to buy Wardrobe01 and Wardrobe02:
You would find that there were two sets of stock characters, and the costumes appear twice in your lists of costumes.
It would be useful to ensure, however, that the newer packs are higher up in the list of addons (on the settings menu), otherwise if we do future updates to them, the old versions would be used instead.
For someone with the old free packs, Wardrobe01 doesnt have new costumes, where as Wardrobe02 has a couple of new costumes and the Fedora, and might be worth buying, if you are keen.

Hardware check tells me my GeForce 8400 card (which I bought specifically because my old card didn't accomodate shaders) is performing badly with shaders. Does that seem right? Computer hardware specs are not one of my strong points.
Hmm, I don't think the 8400 should have much trouble running Moviestorm with Shaders. The hardware report isn't quite as accurate as we'd like at the moment, and it's always a good idea to see for yourself how the performance is affected with Shaders on. Check them out, and if they slow things down too much, you can always turn things.

Foley sounds are still WAY too loud on my system, and mixer is glitching the same way it was in 1.1 Pre (i.e. MS seems to ignore volume settings for Foley & Dialogue which it's saved in the .mscope and/or which were tweaked manually in 'cutting room', and goes ahead and has everything turned up full volume when it renders).
Will see if the 'fresh' install of 1.1 Final I'm doing this morning fixes the glitch. If not, I guess I'll be using the 'renaming folders' workaround again to disable Foley for the time being, which I suggested to Angri above ...
Ah, crap.. Being both a QA and an Audio guy, I really should have spotted this one.. There are actually two bugs here; firstly the audio changes you make in the Director's View aren't being carried over to the cutting room very well (You have to save/reload before they're recognised), and secondly they're being ignored when the movie is rendered, anyway. Thanks for pointing this out, and apologies for doing a shoddy job in the first place!

This seems to be related to the same audio issue, but what I'm noticing, with the movie I'm working on, is the the levels on my dialogue tracks seem to be dropping by about 50% every time I reload my movie.
Makes looping in post a lot... more interesting... if the "on-set" dialog is inaudible; leaves nothing with which to sync.
EDIT: Actually, it seems the level drops as soon as I click "Accept this take," and then a little more on subsequent reloads.

Those ARE all standard 16x9 resolutions.
Heh ... shows you how much I know Yeah ... the 1280x720 was a 'misread' on my part of HDV 720p 25 spec (coz that's what it's supposed to be, not 1280x750 as I thought), and 1920x1080 is 1080p, 640x360 is Web640x HD (apparently), but I'll be stuffed if I can figure out what 800x450 is ?
Just goes to show you there are WAY too many 'standard' sizes out there !

Still would be nice to have the DVD resolutions though (720x576 & 720x580). Anyhoo ....

I'm finding the new camera system unresponsive, difficult to use and frustrating. For example if i want to tweek an angle i cant select that camera and refine it. If i click on camera 3 for example, it takes me to camera mode but for camera 1, then no matter how much i click camer 3 it remains on camera 1. Its just really really bad. Any plans to improve it properly or go back to the old way because its taking up so much time i figure theres no point having movie storm any more. everything else is fantastic, its just the camera is so poor.

Oops, it appears to be very badly broken. I would imagine that we will try to get it fixed as soon as possible.
It appears that the only way to edit a different camera is to go to the cutting room, and add that camera to the scene. Then, when one goes back to the directors view, any attempt to go to the camera view ends up in that camera, rather than the previous main camera.
Obviously this is a big problem if you want to edit the scene too.
Edit:
If you have edited a scene in the cutting room, one can change which camera one ends up in by positioning the timeline over a section where the desired camera is active, and going to the camera view.

The 1.1 version is awesome, but the urban foliage and urban exteriors pack were the most important packs for a set. Without these packs is hard to build a good set. But the old packs that I have downloaded, like the zombie pack and the mixed costumes packs, do they work on the 1.1 version or we all must spend 39 USD for buying another times the content packs?

I'm afraid I'm really struggling to figure out how these new cameras work. Is there any walk-through? (for users familiar with the old system)

No offense dude. But i have no intention of messing about with complex ways of doing something that should be easy to do in the camera screen. Its a complete waste of my time. I'm using moviestorm to previz a very imprtant project (i used the last version on another project and it was amazing) but i'm not going to use it at all if its not functioning properly and will instead find some other way. I would very much appreciate a proper and permenant fix for this issue.

The following is the biggest problem I am having with 1.1 in comparison to the older version and that is speed of the program and crashes.
This only happens when I have large groups of puppets in a large set. I have not figured out if it is the complexity of the set or the number of gesturing puppets that is the problem. I will try to figure this one out. You know how I love big, elaborate, complex sets with lots of puppets.
When I did the Friday Night - The Races video I had a large number of puppets dancing and running. I had no glitches. I also had a rather large elaborate set. When I did my autobiography I also had large sets with lots of puppets, all running, walking, gesturing and had no problem.
Currently I am working on Starship Feepay and the only set and scene I have had problems with is one of the Holodeck set - it is a large outdoor set. Although I have a lot of puppets - about 30 in it, I do not think that is the problem. The problem I had was when I had a set of puppets dancing and also two musicians playing instruments. When I redid the scene without those two elements, it ran great, no matter how elaborate the gestures or use of props was.
I think the glitches may come from using musical instruments. What happened is although I managed to get all the actors doing what I wanted and get the scene set up - which was only a 30 - 40 second scene, I got to the camera view and my cameras kept disappearing -- the little tick marks for the cameras were just not there. I finally was able to get to the cutting room even without the tic marks and the camera was there, but it locked up when I tried to go to the rendering view. I cut out all gestures and movement of all puppets but the dancers and musicians and still the same glitch. When I redid it by starting a new movie with the same set, it was fine but I did not add musicians or dancers.
Today I am going to try a new scene with the same set with just dancers and see if that works. Then I will add musicians and see how that works. I didn't have any dialogue or music in either of these scenes as I add that in my film editor after rendering so it wasn't a sound bug.
Let me know, Moviestorm staff your thoughts on this. I really appreciate it as big scenes with lots of puppets is kind of the thing I really like in my movies.
