This bizarre little piece represents me familiarising myself with the puppet paths, adjusting gait, speed stride length.

Come on guys, where are your movies? Don't be shy.

If you want to link these please use my youtube links, follow my channel page to find the movies.

once the movies are approved I'll put most of them up there..unless they turn out a complete disaster.
Youtube have a lot more bandwidth than me!

lol... very cool. It's fun seeing someone enjoying the program.
(I agree folks! Lets see a little play with the s/w. I'm sure the Short Fuze folks would enjoy seeing some fruits of where the beta stands now?.)
Thanks, kkffoo!

My sixth completed movie (ie not counting the ones that really really didn't work and wound up in the bin )

This one is VERY short and has a very similar plot to Fulkster's, but I've given it a bit of a twist.
A woman arrives home to find her boyfriend kissing their elderly neighbour.

I used the 'change mood' function for the first time in this film, and it works well..apart from at extreme setings the lip syncher doesn't work very well...
..so I deleted the dialogue and filmed it as music vid instead.

That was pretty interesting, kkffoo. The old lady is almost scary in the closeup!

I also really liked your video: La Tante Adele. You simply played around with different types and speeds of walks and made something interesting. I would have liked to see aunt Adele though

Keep up the cool work!

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

Keep up the good work kkffoo!

I'm working on a movie too but it will take a while. I'm still learning the program like everyone else.

Hi Cruleworld...
(The question's a little off topic for this thread, but I've seen a few folks including myself say they use Sony Vegas... but that doesn't work as an editor for MS's output at this time (solution to come, I saw)... Adobe Premier Elements works (I've used first-hand), and so does Microsoft Movie Maker (I was told).)

If you want responses to this question, you might see if there isn't already a thread for that (search), and if not, then post the question in a new thread.

(I've seen a post asking for 3d Modelling software used, but not movie editing. I could be wrong...)

Hope this helps...

I've been fooling around with the shadows and lighting. Because the light comes from only one angle it requires a filmmaker to coordinate the set to the light. That aside, the effect can be interesting. In this test I had problems getting a smooth edge on the shadows and it would be nice to be able to direct individual lights on the cast. I also would like to try a backlight effect. Perhaps with the new version of 1.4 some of these will come to pass. I also used Adobe Premiere to dutch the angles.

This test is very short, with a feeble nod to "The Third Man". And many thanks to Fulkster for the end credit.

Really interesting effect with the shadows MrJoyce, and great atmosphere. When you say 'use a filmmaker' do you mean an outside program, or do you mean someone with filmmaking experience?

Nice to see someone using the shadows - this is something I was very keen to get into Moviestorm, as you can do such evocative things with shadows.

impressive.

we have appointed a bit shoveller to create light from darkness, and cast shadows properly. it won't be quick, but the issue is very important to movie making and is being addressed.

I'd hope to extend this over time with additional lights, highlighting and "shadowing"

we'll let you know how we get on in the release notes
