First, I do not have the terrain heck enabled so I ruled that out, however I'm at my wits ends.

I've tried two different movies and I am getting error messages when trying to bring up the Cutting Room.

The error messages are as follows:

"'Unknown HUD Component in CuttingRoomDirector: Unknown component requested from director clip bin"
"Unknown HUD Component in CuttingRoomDirector: Unknown component requested from director slim playback frame"

Heres my log
Attached File  hs_err_pid7368.log ( 10.08K ) Number of downloads: 2

Hopefully you guys can make something of it :/
Thanks

Please could we have the log.txt
This is created in the Moviestorm user folder. It is emptied each time you start Moviestorm. It's in:
Vista, Win7, Macs: Users/[Username]/Moviestorm
WinXP: C:/Documents and Settings/[Username]/Moviestorm

(The log you provided is the sort that is possibly useful when Moviestorm crashes to desktop).

Does this problem happen when you start a new movie, add a camera, and go to the cutting room?
Or does it appear to be specific to your two movies?

If it seems to be movie specific, I would like a copy of one of the movies for which it is broken.
Saved Movies
Zip up the folder with the name for your movie that can be found in:
Vista, Win7, Macs: Users/[Username]/Moviestorm/Movies
WinXP: C:/Documents and Settings/[Username]/Moviestorm/Movies

It seems to be a general case. I'll send off the log file to you:

I'm afraid that this copy of the log doesnt show anything; the log is emptied each time you start Moviestorm, so please:
Start Moviestorm
Start a new movie
Try to go to the Cutting Room
Then when it breaks, please provide the log.txt

There is an error about audio within a video:
Audio requested but no audio stream in C:\Users\Alonzo\Moviestorm\Movies\Val EP3 - 3c\ClipBin\Video\ftlcorridorfrontal.webmvp8.webm

I'm presuming that that video was converted from a previous version?
It appears that the cutting room isnt loading possibly because that video doesnt have audio.

This does confuse me somewhat - can you provide me a log of the cutting room not loading after starting a new movie?

If it works with a new movie, then the problem is most likely with your specific movies - the video files presumably need an audio track.

Oi that seems to be the bugger!

Loading up a new movie, bear no mishap. And after getting rid of the clip the Cutting Room was able to load up.

However it begs the question of what happened? I did convert a video file from AVI to WebM. And there wasn't any sound with it to begin with. I haven't converted any other videos yet to be played on props, but should I find this a reoccurring issue I'll report it and stick to AVIs...

In any event thanks Ben!

I think that might have been the problem then; Moviestorm is assuming that there is a sound channel (I think it is part of the webm specification), and your video doesnt have one.
I would imagine that if you added a soundtrack of silence to your video, then converted it to webm, it would probably work fine.

That said, we could probably handle the situation better - will file a bug report about it.

I managed to reproduce the problem after having converted a video that has no sound track into webm.
There is a simple workaround to get your existing movies working again:

Go to the folder for the saved movie, in [username]/Moviestorm/Movies/[moviename]
Look in ClipBin/Video
Rename or delete the video file in that folder that doesnt have an audio track

You should then be able to load your movie and get to the cutting room.
