Is there any alternative software to Moviestorm? I'm looking for something where the interface is similar, and the characters are realistic (not cartoony like Muvizu). Essentially something like iClone (or perhaps Plotagon) but with much less of a learning curve and easy to figure out and use (for example, you could make a five minute scene in three days or something like that). And it would preferably have an iPad app, but if not then it would be fine on a laptop.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It sounds like you've have a good look around already. I wish the owners of this software would update what they have, as it is easy to use and not too expensive.

Hi

I did a google search which you may have already, but maybe some things here you hadn't seen?

https://alternativet...are/moviestorm/

Source filmmaker looked cool, but uses Steam http://sourcefilmmaker.com/Some pretty neat vids created. I Haven't tried it yet.

Not sure if anything helpful.

Moviestorm is great and I really like it too.

Good luck and hope you find something.

All my best,

~M

It might be worth looking at the Puppet Master app for iPad, it lets you animate any image using Mocap via your built-in camera. Depends on what you are wanting to do but it might have some potential.

But in answer to your original question the answer is No.

iClone is a far more powerful animation tool but become hugely expensive very quickly (I know - like many other people I have used it) and if you think the MS learning curve is steep, you'd better dig out your mountain boots for iClone ;)

There is still nothing on the market that has Moviestorm's combination of capabilities, cost and shallow learning curve. However,  some people consider any learning curve too steep.

Well, that's a bit of a shame, but thank you for the reply anyway.
