This is a cool gift for you guys! Sorry I havent been active I've a truck load of problems., but to get to the point, one of the very best video editors on the market is now absolutely free! HitFilm Express. It has a huge learning curve but like I said its one of the best with tutorials on site and on YouTube. Also for special effects they have add ons you can buy. YOu must upgrade your OS (MAC)  to 10.8. or 10.9 I belive.  Windows 7 as well...

 

Ryan Connelly  (Film Riot) edited his lateest short on it... looks great!
