Hi all

Since I've updated my Mac to High Sierra Moviestorm won't launch. I was planning to reinstall but I'm concerned I might loose all my movies, stocks and custom addons. Anyone able to confirm what would be the case?

Many thanks

Moviestorm doesn't support High Sierra YET. Try downgrading?

And it's almost a certainty it won't ever run on High Sierra or later. It seems there's an incompatibility with some graphic component, required for MS to run on macOS, which is no longer supported by the developer (nVidia).

And, unless something is done about, things will only get worse, for the next version of macOS will only support 64-bit applications, which MS is not.

Anyway, don't lose all hope. Who knows?

As for downgrading, it's a feasible though involved option (https://www.imore.co...downgrade-macos)

If you want to tell jokes then use Muvizu; if you want to make 'Movies', use iClone; but if you want to tell stories, use Moviestorm - PrimaveraNZ

Thanks Both- that's really disappointing to hear- unfortunately I can't downgrade simply for Moviestorm, so will have to try and come up with something, perhaps Bootcamp might be an option... much appreciated anyway

A dual boot with Bootcamp should work.

If you're unsure about it, another possible option to try might be using a virtual machine with a bare bones Windows installation just to run Moviestorm inside it; only concerns here would be a virtualized graphical card capable enough to fulfill Moviestorm's requirements and a working networking subsystem, in order to get the Moviestorm installation activated.

I upgraded to High Siera without thinking about Moviestorm. So I did boot camp (Found Windows 8.1 on Amazon for $50) and now I have better modding tools!
