as much as I hate forums Mostly because I hate typing, and reading for that matter, I realize this is is where this community really connects is here in the forms, I have noticed an interest in my Final Fantasy VII project,
So I will be using this Thread to get feed back & post updates work I have already posted Tifa Test: http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=104490 Aeris & Tifa Test: http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=104515 Midgar Test 1 http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=104587 if today proves to be produtive I will post another Midgar Screen test I am building the Models my self In Sketch-up I am Picky about details so at over 40h spent doing the Midgar model I am only about 28% complete -------------------- |

Well that it for to day not as productive as I would Have Liked it to be,(mostly because of other projects and a phone call from my mother) but having a small fan bace at the end of this day I have posted this small and un-satisfactory update It really not much I would have liked to have had at lest the top of the Shinra Building done but it's not as you will see
http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=104722 other challenges, none of the hair in MS 1.3 is long enough for my Tifa and Aeris costumes, my Tread to try and get the old long hair style from the Pioneer Days of MS has been mostly Unsuccessful but They would work for what I want to do. that and Having recently Upgraded my system too Windows 7 "Coral Photo Paint" from Corral Draw 5 Don't work any more the programs is too old (1995) it still worked (super Fast) in XP so it did last a long While also trying to learn how to add a bone especially if I want the characters to hold there weapons but it looks like I am going to have to learn how to use other third party programs to do that as Sketch up can not. -------------------- |

You've made skratchmasta a very happy man. He never shuts up about Final Fantasy. One of them (I can't remember which) is his Favorite Game Ever, as he insists on telling me on a daily basis.

I will admit that I hate Final Fantasy games with a passion, I just do not have the patience for them but what you are doing here looks stunning!

(Johnnie its 7 thats the best one, 8 its my personal favorite) Anyway, PapaG I think the best hairstyle especially for Aeris would probably be 'Hairstyle shoulder length' from the Dark Romance pack. This is longer and more 'manga' like than the base pack hair. As for Tifa, yeah we don't have anything that long. The shoulder length would probably be good enough as its only that long on advent children. BTW your Midgar set gets me exited in a way I couldn't possibly state on this forum If only we could release our subway pack as it would go hand in hand with that. Unfortunately it has navmesh issues. Not only do I think your pack will be my favorite but I think it will, with help promoting it, create a LOT of new interest in moviestorm from fellow FF enthusiasts, and believe me everyone, theres a s**t load of them -------------------- Alex Gowland

Ahem.
I should probably take a moment to state that, while we make very few impositions on what you should and shouldn't do with Moviestorm, we don't encourage anybody to infringe on 3rd-party intellectual property ... so any Final Fantasy-related movies or content you may create are entirely your own affair and not explicitly covered under the Moviestorm EULA. Right. That's that out of the way. As you were. -------------------- |

I can't even tell you how many FF fan vids I have seen ever since the release of Advent Children. I agree that 7 is the best, and it happens to be my fav. I'm playing the new one right now. Not the best ever, but right up there IMO....much better then 10 anyway The Shinra Building mod is shaping up to look very much like it did in the game. Well done -------------------- |

I will admit that I hate Final Fantasy games with a passion, I just do not have the patience for them but what you are doing here looks stunning! Thanks KV Its true RPG's are not for Every one, but But what is unique about FF7 is Truly the story (or at least that's what its is for me) and I would equate the story of "FF7" for the Gaming Community = to " The Lord Of The Rings", for the book community (But that is just my opinion so you may disagree with me if you like) (Johnnie its 7 thats the best one, 8 its my personal favorite) Anyway, PapaG I think the best hairstyle especially for Aeris would probably be 'Hairstyle shoulder length' from the Dark Romance pack. This is longer and more 'manga' like than the base pack hair. As for Tifa, yeah we don't have anything that long. The shoulder length would probably be good enough as its only that long on advent children. I Disagree with you on your hair sugestios (but that's probably because I am picky) but I will try your suggestion out Once I have Barret and Clouds costume moded and we can put it to a vote. By the way is there any way to make the existing movie storm Hair into an accessory, cause as hair I can only apply one but as an accessory I could Try combing different hairstyles together to try and achieve the look I am going for. If not that's ok, but like they say you won't know if you don't ask BTW your Midgar set gets me exited in a way I couldn't possibly state on this forum If only we could release our subway pack as it would go hand in hand with that. Unfortunately it has navmesh issues. Ok Look forward to seeing that Subway Train Not only do I think your pack will be my favorite but I think it will, with help promoting it, create a LOT of new interest in moviestorm from fellow FF enthusiasts, and believe me everyone, theres a s**t load of them It may be a while before I can release it, don't get me wrong as an artist and modder I want to release mods People would use! But as A FF7 Fan I want to be the first to use it in my Movie so Until I have released my First FF7 Episode I probably won't release the mod till after then! Thank for the head's up (Ben said the same ting when I was trying to make a star wars mod (I never did finish it but I probably should release that which I did get done)) to cover my own ass I do not intend make any profit with this mod, also I have not hacked the orginal FF7 game to acquire my models or textures, nor will my finished Models look exactly like the the ones Square made though I Hope to come close. You got that right. Well done Thanks Armanus, I am very critical of my own work and I was not entirely happy with how my model was tuning out but in your saying it It, make it easier to continue with what I have -------------------- |

If not that's ok, but like they say you won't know if you don't ask That sounds very sensible. I'm glad to hear that your trying to get the best quality you can. As for the hair suggestion. I have consulted Ben who says that this is already possible in the modders workshop. I'm not sure that it will look right with differed textures overlapping as there may be zfighting and other issues. But its definitely worth a try. Heres how to do it: In the modders workshop, Select a hairstyle you want to make into an accessory. Untick the 'hair' box on the 'Part' field and tick 'accessory'. At the top of the screen, change the addon to one of your own (in order to publish). Click save. Publish addon. QUOTE It may be a while before I can release it, don't get me wrong as an artist and modder I want to release mods People would use! But as A FF7 Fan I want to be the first to use it in my Movie so Until I have released my First FF7 Episode I probably won't release the mod till after then! Perfectly reasonable old chap! I'd imagine doing so would generate more interest in the pack for people who want to get it any way. -------------------- Alex Gowland

I know How you feel Johnnie, PapaG and I r still working on Star Wreck EP4 and every time I call him up and say "hay how is that star Wreck Scene coming along? and have you voiced that other scene I sent you? so I can render it and add the effects?" and his response is "Midgar is looking good" SIGH.... |

Ok so here it is 33% (ruffly) the last Midgar up date till I have started Sector 8 expect next up date to be much later i need a short brake from modding, i could use a tan and i think i have forgotten what real trees and grass look like, for that matter I think i have forgotten what sleep is like so too
so take a look if you like but it ain't very different from 27% complete. Really! http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=104756 In the modders workshop, Select a hairstyle you want to make into an accessory. Untick the 'hair' box on the 'Part' field and tick 'accessory'. At the top of the screen, change the addon to one of your own (in order to publish). Click save. Publish addon. Thank you skratchmasta Have not tried it yet but I will soon I think I need to take a brake from Midgar so i might do Cloud and Barret and of course i will try the hair then I know How you feel Johnnie, PapaG and I r still working on Star Wreck EP4 and every time I call him up and say "hay how is that star Wreck Scene coming along? and have you voiced that other scene I sent you? so I can render it and add the effects?" and his response is "Midgar is looking good" SIGH.... Oh you be quiet that only has happened once you make it sound like i do it all the time -------------------- |

Tifa and Aerith near complete, maybe just a fue final touch-up's, but we will see (if my learning curb should suddenly allow for me to do something better then I will!)
New Modding progress to note! Cloud: Costume texture 85% complete (need some tweaking) I now Have good hair for Cloud, and Cloud can now wear his sword on his back and he has a way cool shoulder guard. Barret Costume Texture 70% Complete (need some major tweaking) and Barret's Arm Gun Compleat (or at least for now, Hair???? Tifa, Two new Types of Hair witch one I want to use I am not sure, She got way coo elbow guards, may try to make some cool gloves, and ear rings! Costume Texture 99% Complete Aerith: Also has two new hair option, but I think I know what hair I want to use it the Face morfs and eye color I am not sure of. may try to make some Wrist band, and may experiment with a coat! Costume Texture 99% Complete See Progress Video and Pleas give me your feed Back on Aerith and Tifa's Puppet casting call Video Linked below Aerith and Tifa's Puppet casting call<---Click Here Modding Progress -------------------- |
