It’s hard to underestimate how important eyes are when you’re making a movie, especially when you get into close-up. That’s just one of the reasons why we’re so excited about this fantastic new pack created by Phil “Overman” Rice of Zarathustra Studios. Phil’s been a stalwart supporter of Moviestorm since the beginning. He’s a legend in the machinima world for his phenomenal output and his world-famous piece Male Restroom Etiquette. He’s a perfectionist, and his attention to detail is one of the things that sets his work apart from most others.

Phil’s ZS EYES #1 pack is the first commercial expansion pack for Moviestorm made by a third party. There are already a number of free mods available, and many people create mods in return for Moviestorm Points, but this really opens the doors for modders to profit financially from their work. We wish Phil the greatest success with his venture, and we’re looking forward to seeing what’s next on his agenda.

To use the pack, you’ll need Moviestorm version 1.2 or later, and a Moviestorm subscription. There’s a free version which has a small selection of these eyes in, and a full version for $7.99 which has the lot. And for an extra $2, he’ll throw in the mod workshop files which enable you to create your own custom eyes.

Thirteen realistic eye colours
  • Light Blue
  • Dark Blue
  • Light Brown
  • Dark Brown
  • Light Green
  • Dark Green
  • Mix: Blue and Green
  • Mix: Green and Brown
  • Amber
  • Golden Brown
  • Grey (Light)
  • Hazel
  • Violet

Six variations for each of these colours (for a total of 78 different eye possibilities)
  • Dilated Pupils
  • Beady (small) Pupils
  • Bloodshot
  • Dilated Pupils, Bloodshot
  • Beady Pupils, Bloodshot
  • Jaundiced

Twelve special effects eye types
  • Blind
  • Red (with some bloodshot)
  • Hot Pink
  • Blue Glowing “Spice” eyes, like in the movie Dune
  • Two types of Vampire-like eyes
  • Two types of Lizard-like eyes
  • Two types of classic Hypnosis eyes
  • An All Black eye (eyeball and iris)
  • An All White eye (eyeball and iris)

Note: this pack is not supported by Moviestorm.

If you want to make and sell Moviestorm mods, then please go right ahead. You’ll need a subscription and a copy of the Modder’s Workshop (free to subscribers). We don’t take any cut, license fee or royalty - whatever you make is yours. Tell us what you’re doing, and we’ll help spread the word.

The concept of this addon alone makes me want it. Nice job Overman. I need to check this out.

Also, thanks to Moviestorm Limited for posting about and supporting the first 3rd party commercial addon released for Moviestorm. It's not the type of thing you can expect from just any company and sets you apart from the rest.

This truly is a fantastic addition to moviestorm and created by a very talented third party, I was a lucky member who got to beta test this and it was great then, to see it finally released to the public is just out of this world.

You did a fantastic job Phil, this is an addon not to be missed cool.gif

Very nice work, Overman.

The eyes have it!

I would recommend this add-on to anyone and everyone who uses close-ups in their projects.

This is a must-have at an unbeatable price, and if you mod or intend to try your hand at modding in the future, be sure to include the Mod Workshop Files for a couple of extra clams.

You won't be disappointed.

What a simple and fantastic idea!

I bet it wasn't so simple to implement though wink.gif

Hi, Make sure you go into the Settings screen and check that the Mod is selected to load.
Cheers.

Gah, what a doofus! I wasted a whole day of ocular tinkerage by thinking I needed an account before I could download this baby. And as the account requires Manual Intervention, and Manual clearly wasn't working this weekend, I'm still waiting for account approval. sad.gif

Fortunately in my desperation I tried buying it anyway, and hey presto it worked smile.gif

Actually, thinking about it a little more, Mrs PN had a Sims day yesterday so it would have been mighty frustrating watching her Sim away not being able to juggle eyeballs.

But now, it's MY time mwahahaha!

Very good work Overman,

I will purchase the mod once I get some money together in the next several days.

It's great that some modders are making commercial mods for Moviestorm.

I think that just links back to the original z-studios link. I'd contact Overman from that site if you have no luck.
