I'm interested in seeing if I am acceptable as a "voice actress"... I do silly voices for myself, but I seem to get the best out of things when I am trying to do a good job for other people. And it helps me to tune up my "instrument"...

I also seem to do serious voices.. but never mind those wink.gif There are some examples on my channel but lots of fail there too! I do virtually most of the funny voices WITHOUT effects, at least in the very first projects.. (and the remix).

I don't think my "Engrish" accent (Yes that isn't a typo!!!) is so great but it has character and I've been trying to develop it.. and some distinctive and different types of voices.. as well as those brash attempts at male voices.. which really ARE fail, but funny..

in a pinch, I can do a "male" voice.. at least a good impression of "Professor Monkey-for-a-Head" (Earthworm Jim) And even a little "Ed Bighead" impression (Rocko's Modern Life) At least my son likes my impressions wink.gif..

Contact me via my Moviestorm Channel, if you are interested after listening to me.. or even My youtube channel..(with the same name) I have different projects sitting around there..

Seeing the "Scottish" accents listed here I am almost tempted to set up a competition for people performing only using them. The only decent attempt at a Scottish accent I have ever heard from a non-Scottish actor was occasionally by Emma Thompson (Well, I enjoyed hearing Scotty in Star Trek too, but only because I assumed he was meant to be Irish).

My criterion for claiming fluency would be "could you talk your way out of being shot by people of that nationality while trying to escape from their country during wartime".

Mind you, where I came from in Scotland they would shoot you if they thought you came from the next village anyway, so even I couldn't claim a "Scottish" accent and that IceAxe guy sounds well dodgy laugh.gif

I'm almost agreeing with you. Not the bit about me sounding dodgy of course... but I reckon Johnny Depp manages a fairly believable Scottish accent in Alice in Wonderland.

Cool, I win, maybe not for the Scottish accent, (haven't been around my family enough for that) but I think I get by with my English speaking Russian accent..(but then I don't speak Russian so that doesn't work) a few small words in Spanish may sound appropriate, perhaps not... but if in extreme trouble, I may come up with a Canadian accent that may just work! wink.gif

The Voice Actors Catalog (female/male)

I think many people here spend much time with finding voice actors and castings.
I think it is more than useful to overtake the method that is used in many machinima forums.

If you are a voice actor, please sign in in this post with the following information about you:

Name: ...
Gender: ...
Age: ...
Accent(s): ...
Voice Sample(s)(if available): ...
Contact : ... (e-mail, IM or just leave it out if you only want PM)

So every producer has a clear overview overt availabe voice actors and can contact them.

----
Hi,
I just reviewed some of the samples here. Clearly, there are quite a few very talented voice actors. For me, I am looking for someone to collaborate on my wife and my hobby animations using Moviestorm and was wonder if there is a forum where I can post my YouTube videos and invite for voice actors? I am sorry if this had been asked before; I am new to this. Are you able to point me to the right place? Thanks.

Regards
David & Kellie

Thanks,
Korni

P.S. If someone needs a place to host his voice samples, just mail me and I can upload them for you on my server.

Important Note:
Please do not enter requests for voice actors here, please use the forum for that purpose. In this post only sign in, if you are offering voice acting to others. Thanks.

Hey Ralaimo,
I'm may not be a believer but if I ever do get converted it will be something like this film that does it.
What a hoot!
I thought it was surreally brilliant. wink.gif
