I know of these two great sites 1 & 2 with free music to use in my movies. Are there anybody else who knows about others who make film music (not music but Film Music) for free?

I would consider working on a score. What did you have in mind?

Thanks peet, but I don´t have any project going on right now. I just often gets inspired to make movies by listening to music.
But you are obvious a composer. Do you have any samples out? -------------------- |

I would consider working on a score. What did you have in mind? You write music? I need music for Vautrin. And you will get an IMDB listing too. Plus royalties if we sell the movie. -------------------- |

Hi Lucinda, I do write music. I would be happy to score something for you. Send me some film clips and I'll see what I can do. Here is a link to the first clip i have done for Vautrin. this is just a first look at one of the sets and the characters. http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=106619 and here is a link to the script. https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D728191_057951_662385 This is the story of the Japanese invasion of Nanjing China in 1937 so it is a serious movie and I need dramatic music. of course I don't expect you to do the whole film, I know a lot of musicians. i also write music but mine always sounds too cheerful no matter what I do. Guess that is just my nature. I am just beginning to design the sets for this movie so there is no rush. -------------------- |

Please go PM. I´m loosing my thread here. Other free film music sites? You've been lujacked! Back on topic: Jamendo.com has some good stuff - you can search with the keyword 'soundtrack' - it's also creative commons licensed. Yes, they do have some great stuff. Thank you for pointing me to that site. I have a lot of friends who are musicians, like Vice Romania who has given me clearance to use any of their music in my films. I also stay in touch with Run415 and David Pickett who don't post here on Moviestorm any more. I just usually hear some music I like and contact the musician and ask if I can use their music and they always say yes. That is how I got to use Pers and Hans Kilstroffe's music as well as Josh Hunsaker and Daniel Stang. They are all friends of mine on Facebook, so I suggest you look at their profiles and listen to their music and they will probably be happy to have their music in your films too. -------------------- |

Here are a few that I know of:
http://www.sharecg.com/pf/full_uploads.php...ame=dalatindiva http://www.cameronmusic.co.uk/ http://ccmixter.org/ http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/ There's also this guy on TMU who I know is keen to do some music. His instrument sounds sometimes aren't the most authentic sounding (kinda yamaha keyboard-ish) but the compositions are great if you don't mind that Here's the link to his TMU profile: http://www.tmoaradio.com/vb/member.php?u=395 And a link to some of his recent work: http://www.reverbnation.com/artist/artist_songs/1041123 And there's also this guy (his stuff is amazing and he works really quickly too): http://www.tmoaradio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=4912 Hope these can be of some use -------------------- "I can post as much as I want here... I am not going to leave here, not going to stop talking and not going to stop making movies"

I didn't see this one posted yet, though not all music, mostly sounds, effects, different atmosphere and things. http://www.freesound.org |

Although I know a few musicians (The guy who wrote and performed the Richard theme tune, Tobias Penny, runs the "2D Animation" bit of Chada) Without a doubt, my favourite site for music is audionautix.com. The guy who runs it, Jason Shaw, has a fantastic range of music, varying from orchestra to club. It's all written by him, and its completely free, no sign up, no nothing! All he asks is a credit in the film. I use it all the time, its great if you want a quick music track for free. Hope it helps anyone looking for music for their MS Productions. There's also some pretty dramatic stuff on there Lucinda, it may be of help for Vautrin if you still need some music

Hi Keith,
here's what I've found in the eternity of internet. It's music but you might be able to find soundtracks, or something that inspires you. http://www.danosongs.com http://www.wuzam.com http://free-loops.com/5000-free-loops.php The loops are free, but for a small donation you can download 'em all in one file. http://square-peach.com This is not free though, but small a price... so, just in case... Cheers, Arthur -------------------- |
