Hi everyone,

DeVinci Resolve is a serious tool for editing and color correction as well as some video effects. This company has long been haled as a go to for color correction. But now they've added a free full feature editing suit FREE. YES, FREE!

Get it here at this link:

Don't miss their companion product, Fusion 8. (Not to be confused with Autodesk's Fusion 360)

If Resolve is the equivalent of Vegas than Fusion 8 is their "Hitfilm" special effects editor. There's plenty of tutorials for it on their website and Youtube as well.

The interesting thing about Fusion 8 is it works with individual image files so you could export jpg from Moviestorm for any special effects scenes. I don't know what you'd do for dialogue unless you tried exporting a separate low res one and synched it. Fusion also works in a different node based workflow.

Thanks a bunch, both Steve and John. Going now to download.

Having upgraded to Vegas Movie Studio 14 Suite just a couple of days ago, I guess I'll be busy this weekend with my new toys.
