my first "movies" were made using the coastercam, and peepscam in RCT3. they were made purley as adverts for the parks I made in the game. I will have a look on some of my old backups and see if I can find any of them to share with you all.... (mind you we are talking about 6 or 7 years ago)

the coaster cam and the peep cam, were part of the rollercoaster tycoon game, so that you could watch a render of what your rollercoaster design would of looked like if your were riding it.

As far as I know RCT3 was the only tycoon game that had this feature, but you might consider adding "game made machinima" to your list.
anyways here is a video I found that i made with just RCT3 and windows moviemaker: http://machinimamania.com/vid/video/MXDO41X5OAHU/frontier I was also a well know rct3 modder way back when, and my mods were very popular with rct3 moviemakers - search for zordork on youtube, and you will find loads of rct3 videos, that used my mods. Other - DAnimate on the Amiga (part of Deluxe Paint 3 that came out in 1991)

I first made movies with The Sims 2, played around with The Movies and almost made a movie but wasn't happy with it, went back to TS2 before getting fed up with that and going with MS, which has many of the features I loved about TS2 and a lot of features that TS2 wishes it had...the kind that makes you say "where have you been all my life?"

I got the bug big time from playing the Movies - fantastic product which unfortunately Lionhead didn't really take forward. Well... fortunately for Moviestorm!

Well, post-Stunt Island and DAnimate, for sure!
My first serious film was made with Quake - the first one. Google "Eschaton: Darkening Twilight" - it was a 25-min piece set in the universe of H.P. Lovecraft, the first part of a series I continued in Quake II before it got abandoned. It was during the filming of the second one that I started referring to what we were doing as Machinima, along with Anthony Bailey.
