I come to the waffle house but I also go to the shell station. I am using the shell station more and more and I do own iclone and had to move my "grimm tales" to that platform. That's good. If you have the time you should allow yourself a wider range of options. You have issues with MovieStorm that, for you, are close to irreconcilable. I have issues with I-Clone that are. You can't handle the lack of waffles at Waffle House. I can't handle the lack of space for stretching out at the Shell. Oh, and the Waffle House will get your coffee for you if it is one of the brands they have. At the Shell you have to get it yourself. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

which has significantly lowered render times. IN any event my time at the waffle house is almost done because i keep waiting for them to stock those waffles they listed I really don't get this part. Waffle House has waffles. Plenty of waffles. Perhaps you mean one type, like peanut or pecan. Its not the waffles their out of. Its some of the filler. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

Nope, that's still not a correct analogy. They have peanuts and pecans as well as all other menu items. You want them to add a hibachi grill. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

"well its a good thing they didnt think this way when it came to the sketchup import wizard in the mod workshop!" The Sketchup import was code written by the good people of Sketchup, and was carefully tweaked and bolted in to Moviestorm. It was not created from scratch. So the suggestion from others to petition Blender's creators would be correct so the Moviestorm programmer can tweak it to fit. IN any event my time at the waffle house is almost done because i keep waiting for them to stock those waffles they listed That's a shame, but understandable, I pretty much finished cooking them early December '10, luckily they appear to have a really good shelf life -------------------- Chris Ollis

That's a shame, but understandable, I pretty much finished cooking them early December '10, luckily they appear to have a really good shelf life lol when is the new menu coming out I dont really want to deal with the blender issue the reality is that there are a lot of companies large and tiny who regularly contribute code to blender to make it possible to use their products. I also use opensim another open sourced coding project there are some starter companies that did not see the code needed to make their stuff "go" who donated huge chunks of code. Really this is no different. In return people use their product where as before they used someone elses. So I am sorry I dont agree with the stance moviestorm has taken on this. It is driving people to use other software out of necessity. I would think that it would be more beneficial to have people stay at this here waffle house. lol I can't think of where to begin on listing the companies that contribute to these two opensourced projects suffice it to say the list is huge. Some of them are one and two man operations others are large like IBM. |

I am making a war movie, Vautrin with lots of action scenes and unusual animations too and I don't find the need to use any other software to create this movie at all. I've got animated airplanes, bombs dropping, buildings collapsing from bonbs and I have been able to do that with this software with no problem at all. And it is set in 1937 and I have no problem with finding proper costumes either, Chris Ollis did some for me which are wonderful as did Boxrocks and Writerly and I even did one myself.

You really need to do a bit more promotion of it -------------------- "I have had the same problem with getting the wheels to rotate properly with animated cars. But it was a way to describe the incredible things you can do now with Moviestorm. Just look at Darth Angelus's movie The Big Bug War http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=108168 -------------------- |

Just look at Darth Angelus's movie The Big Bug War http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=108168 she/he lol depending on where you look made a nice movie but was able to manage to do it with stock assets created long ago. That's great. Unfortunately not everyone makes the same types of movies. When I find myself constantly having to use other software to do what I wanted to do in moviestorm then.. my movie is no longer made in moviestorm. Also I think your not reading a lot of what i say but others are not as well. The reality is you can achieve certain things with much greater ease then using primitive caveman tools. I like corts waffle house .. so i am going to use it again I have this really cool high tech waffle iron it makes the mostest wonderful waffles so pretty and perfect and succuelent, but I constantly find myself in a situation where i am forced to make a fire in the backyward , mill my own wheat and I burn the waffles in the fire . I am unpleased with the taste produced using the caveman method of creating waffles. I therefor throw up my hands go back into the house and make waffles on my electric griddle with all the knobs that is teflon coated. The waffles are perfect and never burnt. On top of that its faster and easier to make the waffles that way. I dont mess up my clothes and get splinters from the wood. So I abandon the fire in the backyard for the superior waffles I can create in my house on this nice cool waffleiron gridle. So then my friends come to the house and say.. wow these waffles are waaay better then those burnt offerings you served us last week what is the secret. I point at the waffle iron and they smile and write down the brand. The all rush home throw out the wood and clean up the backyards and say "no more caveman waffles for me !" and run out and all start cooking their waffles on this new waffle iron. (dang i bet cort is going to regret his waffle post now all this waffling is ensuing!) in any event. The reality is that everyone complains about render times. I dont know about anyone else but if i had to trade frustrations. I would much prefer to let my movie render and go and do something else instead of sit in front of the computer for 3 extra days creating those burnt waffles just so I can have a movie that renders faster. In the end did i really save any time? the answer is no. and on top of it the waffles were better that other way. so if the idea is to save time then I would prefer to be able to actually save it. Rendering is a passive process free of frurstration that leaves me to go outside and smell the flowers and go take a shower and say hi to my family. Spending 3 days doing something that I know i can do in an evening given the correct waffle iron is not in my opinion a good and efficient way to spend my time especially if its limited. So its great they can boast real time whatever however that time is lost elsewhere in the creation process and in many cases to produce an inferior result. The high polygon argument is moot for many reasons 1) people should be striving to create the lowest polygon models possible its bad form to create polygon heavy anything it hogs resources. 2) iclone does permit the use of high polygon items however they warn you and if you cannot create an item with less then 30k polygons that is when they start warning you then there is an issue with the modeling process your using. 30k polygons is a ton no its beyong a ton its excessive. If I spent 30k polygons to make a doorknob I should be halled away from the waffle iron and have the manual thrown at me! |

Actually for Vautrin, I created tons of props and animated props and characters too and I suspect that Darth Angelus used a lot of user made and his own props too in his movie.

Of course there are more things we would all like to see in Moviestorm but they have a small staff now doing all this work an I think we should be supportive of them.
