Vautrin was written by Joseph Kwong and is the story of the invasion of Nanjing, China by the Japanese in 1937. Minnie Vautrin was a professor at Nanjing University and she along with several other brave people protected the Chinese people by creating a safe zone for them at the university. This is a look at the first set, Nanjing University. These sets are not easy to do because there are very few pictures of Nanjing, China before the Japanese invasion and none in color. The cast characters are included in this video. Cast - Tera Whitten, Richard Poshard, Kera Hildebrandt, Mrs. Kwong, Stefan Dobber, Bruce Whitten, Neal Steiger, Joseph Kwong, Sherwin Lu, Eamon Yates. I am still working on the costumes. The movie will be made in Moviestorm. -------------------- |

Here is a link to another first look at Vautrin which includes the Japanese bomber and the tanks.
http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/community/inde...p;vid_id=107158 This is a very difficult movie to make because of all the sets and props and since it is set in 1937 China but I am making progress. -------------------- |

Vautrin has been submitted to IMDB as a new title. This movie is completely made with Moviestorm and since there are war scenes, planes flying, bombs dropping, buildings collapsing, it really shows what now can be done with Moviestorm. It takes about two weeks for a new title to be listed and I will let you know when the link is ready.

.. it really shows what now can be done with Moviestorm. Did you leave in the bomber doing the handbrake turn? -------------------- "I have had the same problem with getting the wheels to rotate properly with animated cars. They have to be all the same size and round and that helps a bit." America's Top Modder.

Did you leave in the bomber doing the handbrake turn? I'm not sure what you mean? I think I did redo that scene though but I have not put the clip online. The movie is 50% finished so I am not even ready to do any retakes until I finish the movie and get into the editing phase. -------------------- |

I am also putting Vautrin on Without A Box and will submit it to a film festival in Los Angeles. I am uploading a trailer there but it is taking forever to upload and it is not that large a file. Has anyone else uploaded a trailer to Without A Box. I used the right format and everything too.

Four more scenes to film and then Vautrin will be finished. It will take me about a week to do the post production, music, sound effects and all that. Then I will be sending it to film festivals to get a distributor.

Thank you Skully. It was a lot of hard work since I had to design all the props and all the buildings because it is set in 1937 Nanjing, China.

CHEERS!! I have finished flming Vautrin and now onto the editing which will not be difficult as I did a lot of it while filming, just have to add music, credits and sound effects. Then when it is complete, I will be sending it to some film festivals as that is the best way to get a distributor.

Congratulations! Thanks, Will, it was the most difficult movie I have ever made but I am glad I did it as it is a wonderful script and I learned a lot about animation that I can use in my future movies. -------------------- |

Some very exciting news for Vautrin and Moviestorm. Tyrone D. Murphy who is a writer, director and producer and lives in London and who runs the Universal Film and Festival Organization which was started by Maureen O'Hara likes the work I have done with Vautrin and wants to write an article about the movie in their magazine.
You can see his comments about Vautrin here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/festcoc/ Vautrin is now completed. I just have to put in some sound effects and finish the credits and the movie will be ready to submit to film festivals. I also am going to make a new trailer for the film since I have finished all the filming. Thanks to the actors and musicians who also contributed to the movie, as well as the modders and costume designers. -------------------- |

I don't do facebook. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."
Vargas: "But if everyone was saved how would anyone know it was a miracle." Sango and Vargas arguing over the implications of one person surviving an unexpectedly active tidal season. |
