animating an object?

07 October 2012 - 03:25 PM

I did a pretty thorough search on this topic and couldn't find anything, so apologies if it has been discussed before.

I just need to do something very simple in MS - animate an object. Can this be done? Can I set keyframes on an object and have it move/rotate?

I want to have a character knock a coffee mug of of a table. I'll also need to add in other various object animations - things moving across the scene in certain shots.

Can this be done? Thanks!

Feature request - option to make walls visible in Director's View

07 October 2012 - 02:28 PM

Can you please make it an option as to whether or not walls show up in Director View? Currently, walls disappear when switching to Director's VIew, but are visible in the other views.

Let's say you want to have the characters interact, or somehow animate near a wall. Since they are invisible, I can't exactly tell how to position them and animate them (without switching to camera view). I can't know, for sure, where they are in relation to the wall, or if they are clipping through it, if the walls are invisible.

I will be staging a fight scene where characters get pushed into the walls. It's going to be tough to block out the motions with invisible walls.

A right-click option with a "make invisible" property for Director view would be nice.

Thank you!

Walls disappearing in Director View MS 1.5.2

06 October 2012 - 08:56 PM

I am experiencing a reproducible bug in Moviestorm Educational Unlimited 1.5.2 on both the Mac and Windows versions.

I loaded up a few of the pre-made MS scenes, and also created a few of my own scenes, all containing walls. The walls look fine in the Set Workshop View and Editor View, but they disappear completely in Director's View.

Thanks for your help.
