Just thought I'd share that the lesson I'm currently delivering involving soundscapes is going really well. I'm finding that all pupils are engaged and starting to produce some pretty good results.

I started Soundscapes last term by introducing soundscapes using fixed images looking at environments (urban, natural, mechanical, fixed etc) and had my students build up visual representations using real sounds and instruments (using gargeband).

Now they've built up an understanding of wat to look for in a soundscape I've extended things further by now adding moving image with pre recorded movies from moviestorm. They are now starting to develop ideas using not only the environment the movies are placed in but are now working on adding mood and feeling to their creations.

All in all I feel its a topic they're really enjoying.
