I'm afraid that the morphing feature is specific to the bodypart, be it a body (dress), head, hair or beard.
For making a morphable bodypart, it must include, apart from its specific base mesh, a number of morph meshes, which are anything but variants of the base mesh, and thus they need to be created specifically for said bodypart.
So no, there's no way in MS of implementing a generic morphing device.
Finally, I think 3D Tree created some morphable dresses. As for me, I've been thinking of creating some morph meshes for my policeman body variants (we love those chubby cop characters) and most probably I'll give it a try sooner than later. Also I've missed some example of a pregnant female character at different stages.
