Thank you, John.
Actually FragMotion has proved to be a very capable modelling tool. Of course, not as powerful as those big insanely expensive guys in the Pro Division, but it fills the bill with dignity.
If interested, you'll find the model inside the shared folder at the URL I provided you with in another place.
PS: for modelling purposes only, I'm currently checking Gmax, (https://www.turbosquid.com/gmax) an emasculated version of an old release of 3DS Max, free though it requires registration, together with an exporter to OBJ format (https://www.katsbits...-obj-models.php). IIRC it was included also as part of the Microsoft FSX SDK and it was a pretty powerful modelling tool.

I must be blind, I couldn't find it. If you had the Fragmo model maybe I could learn something looking at the ugh file. Do you create the different types of textures for a model or just the default one?

Hey JAM...
Great looking Security Door and Scanner addons my Friend, you keep them coming. You've inspired me to finish my ATV, Speed Boat and Heavy Duty 6X Truck models.
P.S. One more effect and the Security Door could be a space transporter.

1) I've PM you.
2) That depends: in this case as the two variants are essentially the same, except of the size and position of a submesh, they share exactly the same materials and textures.
On the other hand, there are cases which every variant uses its own materials. For example, the static version of my set of baseball caps:

Thank you so much for your comment, Brian: there can't be greater praising and reward than prompting the inspiration of someone else. Be assured we're eagerly looking forward for your mods.
As for the space transporter, I haven't thought of this and it's an interesting suggestion. Nevertheless, there's a technical problem for its implementation in an elegant way: the security gate makes use of a complex template, with two parts (submeshes): one navmesh to allow the puppet walking inside, and another one for the model itself. Well, I've tried to add some lighting/particle fx as part of an animation to simulate some sort of fancy scanning device, but I failed: the effect triggered immediately as soon the prop was placed on the set, instead of being switched on only when the animation was called for. Maybe there is a workaround and I'll probably revisit the question, but thus far I've been unable to get it working as intended.
Again, many thanks for your appraisal, friend. It's mighty appreciated and encouraging.
