Did you mean to make the movie private? -------------------- |

Actually what you want to do is make it look LESS smooth. You can use the same animation, but use a lot more camera movement, shorter cuts and with the right sound effects it will be good. Put cameras on top of the sliding truck as a POV shot, have the truck slide over another, turn the camera on its side as the truck turns over. Add shaking with the shaking filter. All that will make it look fantastic.
And much, much less smooth, and that will make for a better sequence. |

for me that sounds a bit complicated, but im going to take a run at it. Thanks for the advice. Honestly, it is exactly what Hollywood does! A truck flip like that would be done with steel cables and pulleys and would look like slow, boring, unexciting, crap when viewed from a static shot. But when you put cameras in great positions and mess around with shaking etc, it looks amazing. All of film-making is about illusion, not reality. C |

At this point it looks a bit like stop motion animation, which is fine to block out your action. Some suggestions: Watch scripters video: How to tsunami Set the tracktor trailer on the pick-up and experiment with movement. As writerly suggested, combine your movements with camera positions/motion to help get a more fluid look as the tanker careens into disaster. Hope that helps. Steve A THe "slider" mentioned in the tutorial may not work in the current version of MS, so try the stock pick up truck in "invisible mode". -------------------- There is no try, only do or do not.

I clicked the link and got an error page. I will experiment some more and give an update as i progress. |

The animation itself is much, much better now. But I do think you need to get a bit creative now with camera angles and positions.
Good luck! -------------------- |
