I am a bit confused about how subscription works.
When I downloaded Moviestorm on my computer and logged in, it said i need a membership and it directed me to the site: http://www.moviestorm.co.uk/MSDB/SubscriptionsServlet
Which unfortunately I don't get at all.

If I choose the Complete 2010 bundle, I pay for everything? But for some of the packages inside the bundle I already have a license. So shouldn't the price go down? What if I want a combination of 2 bundles? Am I allowed to buy the others when I have my membership?

I am sorry to bombard you people with my questions, but I am really confused and need lots of clarification.

Last question...
I only want to occasionally use Moviestorm. Most likely at random times maybe one month I will use it continuously and the next month hardly at all. The reason is because of school and time. What would be the best plan or payment method for me? Not to mention the cheapest. wink.gif

Gracias!

You should choose one of the subscriptions that comes with one bundle then since you already own a lot of the bundles and your license you have for all the already purchased addons is still good. Since you haven't been on here in about a year I think you said, there are some new addons from this year that you could choose from for your choice.

I'm still confused why I have to buy/rent a bundle? Can't I just pay a monthly fee or something? Then buy packs during my membership?

That is just the way they are offering it now. You have to get a bundle with your subscription. It doesn't cost any more than it did before, still the same monthly fee.

If you had an MS account prior to them starting the new purchase packs you should have the optiion to pick one of the older subscriptions, monthly, quaterly, yearly, which were in effect for mosy of 2010.

On your subscription page just above where the new packs are listed should be a 'Click for our previous membership deals', this should take you to the prvious subscription plans.

Hi,
As a user from before we changed the deals, you can use the 'Click for our previous membership deals' on the subscriptions page.

I'm still feeling that the best deal may well be the lifetime deal on a bundle, though - this comes with all the content packs in the relevant bundle, and a lifetime Moviestorm subsciption.
Working out which bundle has the most packs that you dont already have, though, would help to maximise the deal for you.

Ben, does that mean new users can only get subscription plans? If so, any idea how long us oldtimers will have to decide whether we want to buy a lifetime membership?

Will - your question sugests I have not yet explained correctly.
Subscription plan and Membership plan are synonyms.
If you have a Subscription or Membership plan, then you can start moviestorm and use it.
If you have a Licence for a content pack, then if you have a subscription, when you start moviestorm you can use that content pack.

As an 'oldtimer' you have a choice of different lifetime memberships (using UK prices as that is what I have in front of me).
These ones are avalable to anyone:
Moviestorm Complete 2010: Lifetime membership plus permanent licences to 35 content packs. £150
Moviestorm Theme Bundle (One of Situation Drama, Kids Shows, Action Movies, Fantasy Films, Factual TV or Music Videos): Lifetime membership plus permanent licences to 11 content packs. £50

As an oldtimer, you could also buy:
Life: Lifetime membership, no points, no content packs. £149.99

I would recomend, though, that getting one of the Theme bundles, for £50, is better value than the old Life option, due to being 1/3 of the price, even if you have some of the content packs already.

Ah! That's what I suspected, but comparing the old options with the new ones confused me. I'll probably be getting a Theme bundle soon.

Am I misunderstanding the "Life" deal? Worse than the Theme Bundle and 3 times the price. Why would anyone get it?

I've got all of the packs in those deals except one (which I'm not interested in). Is there a lifetime membership deal without any packs that is cheaper than the Theme Bundle? I'd prefer to own rather than rent, but I'd rather not pay for packs I already have licenses for.

This was the only lifetime deal available previously. Now, there are other lifetime deals, but oldtimers still have access to the old deals.

No, there isnt - the Lifetime Theme Bundle deal is still probably the best value for you.
