A new mod, including only a few assets I created for a project I was working on for a time, is now available at my shared folder (see signature).

File name: jm_Antiriot_########.zip

From the README file:

    A few assets for your favourite cops dealing with pesky riotters.
    Includes:
        * Accessories:
            + Helmet
        + Held props:
            + Police shield:
                different interchangeable poses
                accepts user images
            + Police stick: with only a few threatening poses. Sorry, no hitting animations so far.

    NOTE: this mod is -as any mod should be- a work in progress. Eventually new assets, animations and/or variants will be added. So stay tuned.

Demo clip:

Great stuff Jam! BTW If the guy doesn't half a helmet on does his hair disappear when seen through the visor? I remember this was an issue due to layering with some transparencies. Not worth worrying about in this case of course, more just out of interest.

Thank you, John.

Yeah, I know too well what you're talking about: it's one of those oddities of MS to have in mind when planning your shots.

But, believe it or not, it's not the case this time:

I'm not sure what's the reason for the hair not disappearing, but I think is related to the kind of transparency you apply. Look at this screenshot of another mod:

Please note that the mohawk hair of the guy on the scanner table has disappeared almost completely; on the other hand, the afro style of the technician operating the scanner is still there, despite standing behind the transparent rad shield.

In the first case a DOUBLE_SCISSOR transparency type is used (also, it's a well established fact that ionizing radiation makes bad things to your hair):

        <material>
          <name>FBScanner [16]</name>
          <ambientColor>0.75 0.75 0.75 0.99609375</ambientColor>
          <diffuseColor>0.75 0.75 0.75 0.99609375</diffuseColor>
          <emissiveColor>1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0</emissiveColor>
          <specularColor>0.0 0.0 0.0 0.99609375</specularColor>
          <shininess>8.0</shininess>
          <maps>
            <entry>
              <string>emissiveMap</string>
              <string>Data/Props/FullBodyScanner_Rad/Textures/Radiation.png</string>
            </entry>
            <entry>
              <string>diffuseMap</string>
              <string>Data/Props/FullBodyScanner_Rad/Textures/Radiation.png</string>
            </entry>
          </maps>
          <flags>
            <string>DOUBLE_SCISSOR</string>
            <string>TWO_SIDED</string>
            <string>DONT_CAST_SHADOWS</string>
            <string>DONT_SHOW_SHADOWS</string>
          </flags>
          <parameters>
            <entry>
              <string>Linear uv animator period</string>
              <float>2.0</float>
            </entry>
            <entry>
              <string>Linear uv animator horiz</string>
              <boolean>false</boolean>
            </entry>
            <entry>
              <string>uvAnimator</string>
              <string>fuze3d.shaders.uvAnimator.LinearUVAnimator</string>
            </entry>
            <entry>
              <string>useTextureMatrix</string>
              <boolean>true</boolean>
            </entry>
          </parameters>
        </material>

For both the scanner rad shield and the cop shield, on the other hand, an ALPHA_BLEND transparency is used:

        <material>
          <name>FBScanner [5]</name>
          <ambientColor>0.72265625 0.7421875 0.89453125 0.99609375</ambientColor>

          <emissiveColor>0.0 0.0 0.0 1.0</emissiveColor>
          <specularColor>0.09375 0.15234375 0.953125 0.99609375</specularColor>
          <shininess>8.0</shininess>
          <maps>
            <entry>
              <string>normalMap</string>
              <string>Data/Props/FullBodyScanner/Textures/Metal002_n.jpg</string>
            </entry>
            <entry>
              <string>emissiveMap</string>
              <string>Data/Props/FullBodyScanner/Textures/Eyes.dds</string>
            </entry>
          </maps>

            <string>ALPHA_BLEND</string>
            <string>USE_MATERIAL_COLOURS</string>
          </flags>
