A tale of triumph over adversity...
As some may know, I've been laid up with a b*st*rd of a chest infection following a trip away - and big appley porridges to those expecting lines from me Anyway, enough of my woes and onto the FUN stuff! During these many weeks, I've been studying the arcane practices described by Sir Chris of Ollis in his occult tome "Milkke Shappe to Moviee Stormme"! Having now reached the esteemed heights of "Rank Amateur", I wish to inflict my unnatural creations on an unsuspecting world, to whit: Scrolling and Animated props A short and silly sample can be espied *here* Hopefully the whole brood will be unleashed in time for Christmas... Chair-ho! PN -------------------- "Come back Black Chicken! Leave us an egg or something..." Love at First Bite

After some head-scratching and extremely foul language, I seem to have stumbled upon how to make props that animate on command rather than continuously
Check out my barrier demo here Oh what jollies PN -------------------- "Come back Black Chicken! Leave us an egg or something..." Love at First Bite

Wonderful. I just watched the demo video. What other props are you going to make? I can really use these.

That sure is some fancy modding you've done there, Poulet. So that wasn't timed and actually moved on commmand? Pretty cool. |

Awesome stuff, PM! I think you may be on to something!
And don't worry about the foul language, it's just means you were particularly animated at that time I know, that was bad. -------------------- |

Wonderful. I just watched the demo video. What other props are you going to make? I can really use these. Hi Lucinda, I have a great long list of things I'd like to do, but I doubt I'll manage them all before Christmas, which is when I want to get this out in time for. To add some extra detail to my scrolling background mod, I want to create some scrolling props, such as kerbs, lamp posts, telegraph poles, etc. I've already got a prototype scrolling rail track which is working pretty well. I was thinking about creating some rotating wheels that can be combined with various car mods (rather than make the wheels on various car mods rotate - are you with me?), that means people can space the out as they want, etc. If you have any burningly great ideas to throw at me, I'm game! Either reply here or pm me if you want to keep it a secret surprise! That goes for anybody else out there too! @Nahton: yep, on command! Click on the barrier you get an option to open it, click on it again and you get an option to close it @Armanus: perhaps it was fowl language @Lux: I'll try to make things tintable, re-imagable (?) etc: I know y'all love yer varieties PN -------------------- "Come back Black Chicken! Ye Gods, you mad scientist you! That is fandabidozy!
I hope it is not another of those cool hacks that will break next time MS gets updated -------------------- "I have had the same problem with getting the wheels to rotate properly with animated cars. They have to be all the same size and round and that helps a bit." America's Top Modder.

Keep up the foul language. It seems to stir the creative juices kibishipaul Wouldn't 'fowl' language be more appropriate for PN? -------------------- "Les miroirs feraient bien de réfléchir un peu plus avant de renvoyer les images" : Jean Cocteau

Hahaha! Fowl language it is then
The rotating tire mod is something that I've thought about as well, but haven't gotten around to doing (which is too often the case I'm afraid), so if you tackled that I would find that to be very cool. -------------------- |
