Hi, just to let you know the links are live, the packs are flying out the doors and feedback so far is good
www.moddingstorm.co.uk is up and running and full of all manner of exciting addon packs. Horses, jumps, castles, computers, etc etc. browse the stuff, grab the freebies, read the tutorials. let me know if I've spelt anything wrong, missed a link, put the wrong image url or could do anything better. Cheers, Chris -------------------- Chris Ollis

It might be a bit confusing for other folks that two of your freebies are folders to be manually installed, but the 4-color room is an addon inside a folder. When I saw the first freebie was a folder, I just put all three folders into MovieStorm by hand, then went hunting in the program for the 4-color room and couldn't find it.
I love the goldfish bowl way too much. For Mac Users, StuffIt Expander handles password-protected zip files. It's free from Apple's App Store (and probably elsewhere). |

Yeah, the demo file was a last minute free giveaway and I couldn't remember how to put it in to the addon! If you don't mind I'll nick that recommendation for a Mac zip tool, ta. -------------------- Chris Ollis

Great looking site Chris! And some great addons! I especially like the jump and falls addon. Very good.
Its very interesting too because the packs you have listed on your site were ones I was looking forward to being officially released by Moviestorm. It begs the question what Moviestorm has in store for content... -------------------- |

Well we've got the education and swordfighting packs out soon, after that I'm hoping to get a fairly huge office pack done with a desk that works in much the same way as the dining table, then there's the usual talk about babies, and so on and so on. But all that is subject to the usual ebb and flow of code requirements and prioritising. -------------------- Chris Ollis

But all that is subject to the usual ebb and flow of code requirements and prioritising. Students swordfighting in a huge office! Excellent! Actually, once swordfighting and peasant women are available, your medieval packs will be irresistible. Though we'll then start bugging you for archers, crossbow users, knights, trebuchets.... |

I love the horses, but I can't figure out how to move the rider and the horse at the same time. I'm sure I'm forgetting something really simple. Help?
Having the horse run out from under the rider did make me think of something you need for the next horse pack: a bucking horse and a rider being thrown to the ground. |

Having the horse run out from under the rider did make me think of something you need for the next horse pack: a bucking horse and a rider being thrown to the ground. Ben did it by putting the horse and rider on a nav mesh to start with, then you animate the horse loops and drag the mesh to match the distance travelled. -------------------- Chris Ollis

This feels like a really positive move Chris, and a great way to unblock the content conduit.

So do I get a "Blue Peter Badge" for suggesting the Office Pack ?
And when does my "Army Pack" come out ? -------------------- "I have had the same problem with getting the wheels to rotate properly with animated cars. They have to be all the same size and round and that helps a bit." America's Top Modder.

Chris, this is no time to be thinking about making babies. Get back to the modding!

Just got the computer pack, finally no more faking it using the hidden piano trick, hopefully gonna grab the jumps and falls too, and maybe the face decals.
I guess if we end up with an official office pack this may contain duplicate computer animations?, but still worth it i think to have some animations now. |

These look really nice Chris. Great job!
I am curious if the horse-rider's animations can be used elsewise if we have a model with the horse's attach bone name. I am thinking about cats and dogs and sea-horses. |

I am thinking about cats and dogs and sea-horses. There is no attach bone, the actor animations are simply in the same world space. So if you put a scaled up cat underneath it it would do the same sort of job - although you'd need to sort out the new verbs -------------------- Chris Ollis
