Need a subscription FAQ

As someone new to Moviestorm, I have to say I am very confused about how paying for it works. There is mention of points on the BUY page but then I look on the forum and there's something about the points system expiring or only being offered to old members...

So here is my question. What if I wanted to buy/rent the Situation Drama Pack? That part I'm fine with but what if I wanted, for example, the open mic pack sometime later? If the point system does apply, what does the 500MSP point work out to in dollars? Are you still offering points? There's a link to "top off your points" but then I don't know how much money equals what points. If I buy, does that mean I don't get points (if they're still being offered) to buy content packs? It's really hard for me to evaluate exactly how much I'll be spending if I try to buy/rent only what I need. Hope I'm making sense.

I also think it would be helpful if you offered some sort of matrix chart listing all the Theme Bundles and which packs each comes with as I've noticed some of the packs are available in more than one bundle. It would make it easy to see at a glance what I'm getting compared to another pack. I'd love to spend $225 just to buy the whole thing but that's a lot of money when I don't think I'll use at least 1/2 the packs you're offering.

But here's a deal, you buy one of the $75 packs e.g. "Situation Drama Pack" and I'll give you 1000 points to buy another pack (or two). I am so keen to see the standard of MS movies improve and getting fresh blood from other areas of the Machinima world seems like one good way to do this.

As prim said, just grab one of the $75 options. It effectively gives you the program without the need to resubscribe in the future. Plus you get a ton of packs. But think of the packs as a bonus - $75 is really a very fair price for Moviestorm

Thanks for the info guys. I have looked at the link but it won't let you see any info unless you are already a registered user of the program- which defeats the purpose of offering the info since someone new can't see it.

So new question- is the 500MSP for certain content packs to buy or rent?

Historically it's been either. But I think they did away with the option to rent, in which case it would be only to buy.

You can still rent for a month at a time, it is usually around the 50 / 100 points mark. Also you get 7 days free trial on packs you have used yet.
