With the help of Writley who made the antenna accessory for me I now have an andorian character for my project. The Imperial Guard uniform was made by retexturing the overalls mesh from wardrobe 2:

Hey Andy,

I'm working on throwing a spear right now. I'm kicking it old school since I've so far been unsuccessful in my quest for inverse kinetics that do what I tell it to. (I yell and yell at it and still it won't behave like I want). smile.gif

I am a bit better at working with the tools now though so I'm more confident of the results than when you mentioned it initially. wink.gif

So if you've got a beast hunt planned or a tribal war, the spear chucking will commence probably by this weekend.smile.gif

a spear throwing animation, will be very useful in future episodes, especially if you could make different designs of spear, I am thinking of a Gin'tak:

No guarantees on additional spears but I'll do what I can.

I'm not sure how to do multiple props for the same animation yet.

Learning is a work in progress.smile.gif

Hey Andy,

I was looking at images of the Gin'tak and it doesn't look like a throwing or stabbing weapon.

It looks to be specifically for close combat with slashing and hooking as its primary attacks.

That's a different set of animations entirely.

It would almost require a two character animation and I'm definitely not ready for that yet.

The defend animation in the spear set isn't anywhere near as aggressive looking as would be needed for a Klingon attack anyway.

Neither is the jab.

It would dishonor his family for him to attack in so weak a manner. smile.gif

Right now because I can't get the feet to stay still I'm having to keyframe almost every frame of each animation. If I get the foot issue resolved though I'll certainly work on a melee combat mod.

Hey Andy,

I'm doing sideways walks right now. When those are done fight scenes will be more realistic.

You could have two people circling each other back and forth.

And since it will be accessed through the MS gaits engine it should be fairly easy to add jabbing, taunting and swinging as gestures separate from foot work. Its keyframing the footwork that is the major drawback to any action sequence.
