I know this wouldn't always be desirable but I'm using the terrain height-map editor extensively for a project and use my own image for the terrain texture.
Hiding the grid is a problem. I've stretched prims out to cover it and applied the same image, increasing its size until the details match the terrain at the edges but there is an obvious line where they meet due in part to the fact that the grid doesn't actually sit on the terrain but is slightly elevated above it and the prim must be slightly above that to prevent bleed-through. If there something I can edit in the mscope or elsewhere? It only needs to be invisible to the camera and then only for the final render. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

If you made a transparent floor or wall material, you could paint that on the floor.
I would imagine that making a foor material with the flag for hiding it from the camera would work, too. -------------------- Ben Sanders

I thought that would be a hard one. I'll have to check out the floor material tutorial now. Thanks. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

I would imagine that making a foor material with the flag for hiding it from the camera would work, too. I used that method so I'd still be able to see it in Directors and Set Workshop views and it works great. Thanks again. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."
