http://dl.dropbox.com/u/51344100/HoC_Mods.addon You can create your own image to match your scene. I wanted you to be able to see where the edges are though so I am showing it to you using the image you'll be getting with this mod. You will also be getting one other mods with this, a large prim that can take transparency. I created it for a need that no longer exists. ___ This is a simple mod to put a skirt on the MovieStorm terrain. It is a curved horizon. You'll probably want to provide your own image but if you keep the default grass texture the included image will match close enough for most shots. Optimal size is 489 which will make the hole just a bit smaller than the MS terrain. For some reason I am unable to size it betwen 489 and 501. 501 is just a bit too big. Centering it might take a bit of practice but if you need long shots that won't reveal the square terrain this will be worth the trouble. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

Is there a parade or a game or something? The board is so quiet today.

Is there a parade or a game or something? The board is so quiet today. You may not believe it but Yes it was Carnival today in Dili. So all us Stormers were down the beach -------------------- "I have had the same problem with getting the wheels to rotate properly with animated cars. You may not believe it but Yes it was Carnival today in Dili. I think you just made that up. (checking web for Dili carnivals) Damn...How often do they throw a carnival? Looks like fun though. Line dancing, music, was there food? I didn't see any of that. Looks like they all just get together and throw a big block party. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

When I set this mod up and imported it I set it up for smooth transparency in case anyone wanted to do a floating over nothing terrain.
I'm researching how to solve an alpha conflict issue and will update this when I've either solved the problem or disabled alpha for this prop. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

Ok, I have updated the Horizon removing the alpha option. That was the only way to get rid of a strange effect when an object with transparency was in front of it.

Ok, I have updated the Horizon removing the alpha option. That was the only way to get rid of a strange effect when an object with transparency was in front of it. Its only the "soft" transparency that's an issue. If you use "Scissor", it will will render just fine. I discovered that back when I made my Grim Reaper robe. I used transparency to cut the opening at the front of the hood. Might be a little rough around the edges of the cut. Use a high resolution 1 bit image (smooth cut, minimal file size), and make sure it is a PNG instead of a JPG. Jpegs make fuzzy edges and thus bigger files in this case. |
