lip sync not working unless i use tts, I dont want to use tts |

When I use a pre recorded VO on a puppet, their mouth does not lip sync to the typed words or the VO. but audio does play. If I switch to tts it works fine. if I re-apply the VO the lip sync remains that of the tts and not the VO.
sometimes while changing back and forth i will lose the ability to gain control options of the puppet or the VO on the time line I have to go in to change room remove puppet, then reapply the puppet and then start over with the same results. after a while it just crashes. I tried different wav formats with no success. i will attach the log. thanks

Please make sure that your wav files are recorded in 16-bit Mono at 22.5-48kHz (44.1 works best). Many modern recording applications use 24 bit (or 32 bit) audio, which the lipsync engine cannot read.
