Well, this is kind of embarrassing, I found this website a couple of years ago when I was about 13 years old, I registered and downloaded the trial, frankly I only used it once to test it out, and then deleted it. Now some years later, I am starting to get really interested in movie making, and then I stumped across this site again (which I, believe it or not, actually forgot all about) in hope of finding a software that could help me. I registered, downloaded the trial, and then I found out that my IP address has already download the trial before, I thought back, and remembered that I had already downloaded it once. So opinions on what to do? I don't feel like buying it until I see for myself if I can make, what I want to make with it. Thanks in advance.

Well it sounds like the duration of the free trial has expired.
Your only option is to sign up to the software as far as I'm aware.
There are plenty of movies that you can view to get an idea of what the software is capable of.

Damn it.. if only it was not so expensive, it looks like I have to wait a few months before buying it, just wasted all my cash on a phone. sad.gif

You could just rent one of the Theme Bundles for a month, that costs 7 UK pounds, that way you get to see what the program is like for a month and get a fair bit of content to use/try as well.

But I would wait until tomorrow when the staff are back in the office and see what they say

If you knew your original username (and password, so you could log in), you could tell me the account name, then I could extend the trial on that account so you could give it another go. It should tell you the old account name when the login fails on the new trial account.

I have a similar problem. I downloaded this in 2010 but at the time found it difficult to follow and didn't like the payment options. However I'm now reconsidering it to use in my Masters Fine Art again as my hardware has improved (I was using an underpowered system before), especially if I can get the education package. I downloaded the Moviestorm Education Unlimited edition and installed it to trial things.

However, when I login screen first said that my account was not active/out of date, and then that it couldn't connect to a server in the UK (I'm based in Australia). What am I doing wrong? Can this be corrected?

Apologies for the late reply, I think we're going to have to gather a bit more information about your system to find out what's going wrong.
Are you a Mac or PC user?
Are you using an account that has never been used with a version of Moviestorm later than 1.2?
Finally, do you access your internet through a proxy?
