I selected three instances of a self-made prop so I could move them together and then moved them all to a new location.
I then selected Object A and moved it to a slightly different position, I selected B and moved it to a new position. I then selected C, but when I try to move it object A moves with it even though it is in a different location. I have tried every combination of mouse buttons and keyboard keys to separate them and I have closed and reopened the movie and even shutdown and restarted the machine. But it appears that the instances A and C are permanently linked in one direction. So I can move A without moving C but can't move C without it moving A Or have I just discovered the Higgs Boson? -------------------- "I have had the same problem with getting the wheels to rotate properly with animated cars. I have had the same problem even though when I create props, I don't make them stackable or able to be stacked on unless it is something like a car where I want to be able to put a chair in the seat so a puppet will sit in the car.
With ground backdrops and regular backdrops it is a big problem, as well as when you put buildings on a ground backdrop because if you select the ground backdrop to delete it or replace it, it selects all the buildings too. Even if I move them off of the ground, they still seem to be attached to each other. -------------------- |

But it appears that the instances A and C are permanently linked in one direction. I'm guessing that the reason for this is that A "thinks" it is stacked on top of C. Question is how to unstack it? I obviously managed it with B somehow. -------------------- "I have had the same problem with getting the wheels to rotate properly with animated cars. I've started using this feature to my advantage.
It can be annoying if you don't want them stacked but very useful if you need things to move together. -------------------- Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."
