Four Years ago  in March of 2011 

I PapaG (Gerald Lang) Hosted an  Ad Competition

and while the concept is the same Because the prizes are not as good I'll make the rules simpler.

 

So With Out any more Delay.

 

Presenting...

PapaG's (Second) - Summer - Commercial Competition 2015

 

Official Rules

 

Create an ad (commercial) using any PapaG Mod avalible on my Mod site.
so Sell me Something (fake or real, but) Original!

Make an ad (commercial) to sell your product to the puppets and citizens of the world of Movestorm-opolis

 

Your Ad must be Standard commercial Length (or as close too as possible I will allow a 3 second leeway)

 

15/sec, a short Commercial. (so with 3 second leeway 12-18 seconds long) - this is the easyist

 

30/sec, a regular Commercial Length (so with 3 second leeway 27-33 seconds long) - this is some what Difficult

 

1/min, a Long Commercial Length (so with 3 second leeway 57-63 seconds long) - this is Difficult & Challenging

 

2/min, a Very Long Commercial Length Often used by Car dealerships or for Grey Cup Commercial (so with 3 second leeway 117-123 seconds long) - this is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT & Very Challenging, (Unless your a Pro or have too much time on your hands I do not recommend making This length)

Your Ad Must Contain at-least one "PapaG Mod some where in the Ad and appear (be in the shot) for at least 1 second (PapaG Mods Can be found on my web site By Clicking on Below Image)

Your Ad Should Look like a real commercial so NO Credits

(however Credits may be listed in the movie Description if you wish)

 

Your ad Language must be clean or censored with "BEEP'S"

In Your AD you can compare your product to a real world product  (I care not about copy right's this Competition is Mostly for fun) but you can't sell (or make ad for) a real world (already existing Brand name) products.

Example: you can say "Jim-Bobs Cola Taste's Better than Pepsi!"

you can NOT sell me Pepsi Or make a Pepsi commercial

 

Only one prizes will be awarded Per-person regardless of number of entry's (You may enter as many commercials as you Like But remember it only takes One to win, so aim for Quality over Quantity)

On side Note I mot Sure Why the code is not working for your Post? I can see that you Have entered it correctly and for some Reason it always works for me
I am going to try Copy Pasting  it my response to see if it dose the same thing

I Posted this the 1st of July and now My Closing date is 2 weeks away, and only one person has entered, 

I wont be doing doing this again!

 

even offering early access to my new modding to Generate Interest has failed!

 

Is the MS Community really That Dead?

or do I Just Suck at Hosting Competitions?

It does seem rather dead. Not your fault. You do a great job PapaG. I use your mods all the time. Great stuff! And kudos for caring enough to organize a contest. You give a lot to this community.

With no active development to the software, I don't think many people breeze by these message-boards any more.

 

Personally, I promised myself this year that I'd enter Harb40's Passion Competition. As far as I'm concerned that means no distractions! I am all too easily diverted from finishing projects as it is without trying to write two movies simultaneously...

 

On top of that I've got over 10,000 MSP already and have had them since the start of 2012. In fact when I think about MSP it makes me pretty angry because I bought those points in good faith and have had NOTHING to spend them on for the past three and a half years! 

 

But back to the competition! I was going to say that you probably needed to advertise the competition more widely, but Harb has been plugging away on Twitter and Facebook promoting the Passion Competition, and has had only TWO expressions of interest from the MS community (that we know of, of course  )

 

These are Hard Times Papa, hard times!

One more day! September 8 is tomorrow I'll give every one till 8:00pm MST (Mountain Standard Time)  to get in any last minute entries!
so that's 10:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time)  , and 7:00pm for writerly, Who I think Lives in Vancouver BC? But i have been wrong before my Memory is only so so!

 

and this site is 7 hours ahead of me, so MS website time 3:00am September 9th !
