You don't need to be connected permanently, it merely checks that you have a valid subscription at the beginning when you load the program.
Lots of highly successful software companies connect to their servers (often unbeknown to the user) and since internet access is ubiquitous nowadays it isn't really a problem.

The problem is that if you purchase content you can't use the content unless you keep 'renting' the program... you should not sell content in that case because it's useless without the program. Ethically if ou sell content you should make the program available for PURCHASE.

Quick question, and sorry if the answer is obvious: I just installed Moviestorm, but, when I try to run it, it tells me that I must purchase a membership-- I don't want to do that until I'm sure I can use it on this computer. How do I access the 14-day trial? unsure.gif

Thank you.

Thank you.

Does it tell you this in a popup window? If so try closing out of it and pressing the yellow start circle in the bottom right corner of the moviestorm start window. Let me know if this helps.

Very complex question.
Upper left hand corner.
Press SAVE or SAVE AS drop-down.

Hi Vern
While Moviestorm does check for updates when you start it, with the type of subsciption you have, you should be able to use it offline, and you should remain logged in indefinataly.

Steam requires you be online to play some games and it has worked great for them.
I have used MS offline with no problem but I prefer to be online to catch updates.
I`m not worried about MS vanishing anytime soon as even if it "did" I know
there would be an announcement and people would still be able to use MS
it would just be no more support or updates.
