New features
- BETA: Moviestorm can now preview your movie in 3D, and render your movie in side by side 3D, suitable for upload to YouTube. You'll need a pair of 3D glasses to watch your movie in this way.
- The Cutting Room View has been completely redesigned to be more powerful, flexible and feature-packed.
- New Cutting Room View feature: Post-processing filters can now applied to your movie from within Moviestorm.

- New Cutting Room View feature: Tabbed 'clip bin' provides easy access to all the assets for your movie.
- New Cutting Room View feature: Drag-and-drop from the 'clip bin' to the timeline.

- New set object customizer for multi-part objects.
- Move-and-rotate Gizmo in Set Workshop View to ease object placement, and to allow objects to be rotated away from vertical.
- Reset button on set object customiser now places the object on the floor (unless it was on top of something else) and sets a default rotation and scale.
- New Change Image verb for props with customizable images.
- We've added the ability to insert arbitrary amounts of time into the timeline.
- Set objects with looping animations can now have a offset added to them, so you can syncronise or desyncronise multiples of such an object
- New option for rendered video dimensions: 320 pixels by 180 pixels.
- The Load movie screen will now display the version number used to create each movie.
- Hovering your mouse over a Look at event on the Timeline will now display the target of the Look at in the tooltop.
Resolved issues
- Asset Checker reports sensible error messages for missing resources, and informs you which Content Packs are needed to load a movie.
- Titles and Credits in the Cutting Room View have been redesigned.
- Removing the Place Here mark for a character now behaves the same as deleting the Place Here from the timeline.
- Fixed a bug which caused cameras to break after adding a new scene under certain conditions.
- Fixed a bug caused by the interaction of the Look at command and the Follow-spot set object.
Known issues
- Vanish at end after slouching with a coffee mug leaves the character unable to do other anims with a suitable orientation.
- Shadows do not display correctly when they fall onto set objects that are showing video, set objects where the position of a user image has been adjusted, or on the Dance Floor set object.
- 3D preview does not work correctly when depth-of-field is used.
- Some filters do not work correctly during a 3D side-by-side render.
- Held prop interface now includes all variations of all held props, and may be cluttered.
- When rendering to 3D, the Moviestorm watermark will only appear on one of the stereo images.
- The Quick Start Movie shows an image of the Cutting Room View from Moviestorm 1.2.
- Weather effects such as Rain and Snow do not preview correctly when viewed in 3D.
