Episode Three Released!

02 July 2011 - 09:02 PM

While one being from another world languishes in captivity, another is soon to arrive. The nameless government organization scrambles to respond, but thanks to Zoey's timely intervention, Zya Raiden slips through their fingers.

Episode Three is here! Enjoy and review!

I could use some SpecialFX advice.

30 June 2011 - 08:28 PM

I've completed nearly all the special effects for episode three of my fantasy series, Raiden, but there's this one last one that has me stumped.

With the camera positioned directly above, I need a large volume of water to fall away from the camera, crash into the ground, and flow out in all directions. I just can't figure out a good way to do it.

If there's a radial water dispersion emitter in Particle Illusion, I could just use that, but I haven't been able to find one and I don't feel comfortable trying to delve into PI's custom effect editor.

I'm hoping to find a way to do it within Vegas. I've already created some pretty nifty effects by combining various media generators with certain videoFX, masking, and keyframing. If you're familiar with advanced use of Vegas Pro, I'd really appreciate any thoughts on how to create this effect I need.

Copying / Moving multiple props at once?

07 May 2011 - 07:06 PM

Say you've built something up with several props. (In my case, a simple structure made out of Prims) Is there a way to select all the pieces at once and duplicate them? Or is the only way to do it to build it piece by piece multiple times?

No support for PNG transparency?

03 April 2011 - 09:26 PM

I was under the impression that a PNG image with transparency would display that transparency in Moviestorm if that image was applied to a prop (The basic white prim backdrop, in this case), but instead the image shows up with a black background.

Image in question is attached, in case its a problem with the image and not Moviestorm.

A lot of Javaw.exe in the process list

31 March 2011 - 04:13 PM

Even hours after I close Moviestorm, there seems to be multiple instances of javaw.exe running in the background; I checked each one, and they're definitely the same javaw.exe from Moviestorm/jre/bin/ and I'm wondering what they're doing. Should they be running at all?
