As far as I can see (although I know Rampa sees other manifestations of it) the only benefit of the "Ignore" function is that when someone tries to send you a PM, the message gets deleted automatically. However this is only done after you have been sent a notification to your specified email address saying that you have received a PM. It would be nice if the notification could be prevented to save the confusion.
The reason I mention this now is because someone I have "ignored" has just tried to contact me again. So to whoever it was (and I have a fair idea), you are wasting your time, I cannot see your PM nor do I wish to wink.gif

Well I wrote you about the schooner you made. I wanted to know if this mod was available yet. A friend of mine who is a professional script writer is making a movie with Moviestorm and he needs a ship. His name is Karl Oosthuizen.

This could fall under the category of "soft tyranny".

I had to look that up Mr X. But yes, that fits nicely with the Zeitgeist laugh.gif

Oh joy! I just discovered that if you go into "My Controls" and add users to your "ignore list" it replaces their posts with an option to view them or not - why it can't just hide them entirely I don't know, but I guess it is better than nothing. If you choose to ignore someone via their profile it doesn't do this, go figure.
I now understand what Rampa was saying a while back on this topic.

Well I don't ignore anyone anymore. I read all the forums and nothing anyone says really bothers me and I never get mean emails from any of the Moviestorm users.

Now, you know that's not true.
Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

Vargas: "But if everyone was saved how would anyone know it was a miracle."

Sango and Vargas arguing over the implications of one person surviving an unexpectedly active tidal season.

No it is true. No one is bothering me anymore. And the slamming other users and the fighting seems to have stopped too.
