Is there one? I installed a cigarette addon and now i have the gesture of smoking, so now I'm looking for a prop to go with the gesture.

Thank you for your continued patience with all of my noob questions.

There was one by KV, which included:

- An accessory: cigarette in hand

- A few Gestures for the smoking sequence.

Don't know if this is the one you've got, but if so you need to use both components together:

1) In the dressing room -> Accessories -> choose the cigarette in hand

2) In the director's view, select the puppet and use the gestures.

If not, the addon is available from: https://drive.google...M3NpdDVZbFNOMjQ

Bet Brian's got it already in his repository or it will take just the wink of an eye to have it.

Hi All...

I do have it, but not up yet. Moddingstorm has this one for free you might want to have. I will be putting up a few more addons this weekend.

Thanks guys. That is the one I'm using. Never thought to look in the accessories. I was looking for it as a held prop. Thanks for the ashtray link too Brian. I was looking for one of those also.

Both options (a held prop vs an accessory plus gestures) were feasible in this case. Chosing one of them is mostly a question of versatility vs difficulty of implementation.

Accessories are quite easy to create: basically you need the mesh of the prop (plus the materials and textures), position it in relation to the puppet and rig it to bone of the puppet. The prop will automatically follow the movements of the bound it's bound to. Cons: accessories can't be animated by themselves in any way. Further, they can't be made to appear or disappear.

On the other hand, held props can be animated to a grand extent and can apparently be produced by the puppet and be destroyed many times along a scene. Cons: they have to be animated and this may be quite involved if, for example, they are apparently held by the puppet, for they have their own skeleton, are not bound to bone of the puppet's hand and won't follow automatically the movements of the latter.
