upDATED with 'snaping' fixed

Download your updated free copy from here: 3DTreeTrek01.addon

Notes:
Fixed position error in left snaps bone in the 3 section models.
At a long distance away from prop you may still get some bleed through of flooring but it is level now. Pulling the section up off the floor a bit then snap the rest of the objects to that will keep that from happening.

This is brilliant, and the music for the demo movie was cool too. Very nice!

Tree in Trek-Section 01 did you deliberately make the lighting on one side emissive and the other not?

Good question; i asked myself the same when in development; But no, all the surfaces are using the exact same settings if they share the same textures.
I spent a lot of time manually editing XML in the part files to make sure they share the same properties in coloring.
There are extra surface choices on some surfaces though.

From the look of your picture it appears to be just a moviestorm general lighting problem.
Suggestion: movie the direction of the lighting and use internal lighting for your props (eg set some invisible lamps around and only turn them on when in production rather in set design to save video memory...)

-----------

This prop was designed to be as versatile as possible so i went for tile-able textures rather then baking a texture for each prop section.

TREK TOS style sections: 01,02,03
A 2 way section, 4 way section and a 2/3 way section.

    Props are:
  • some surfaces are subtlety reflective with the right light.
  • 'snap-able' on 4 sides
  • is multi-parted with many parts able to be turned off/on
  • and surfaces are all tintable/user textured.
  • All doors are keyframe-able animated open/close.

Some of the features can be seen here:

or watch a demo movie of a possible set that can be made with this 3DTreeTrek01 addon:

Notes:
This Addon has been tested on a few computers without any errors (LOG.txt).
Props can easily be stripped down to save graphics memory and can be easily built up for render times.
For low spec systems i suggest using moviestorm in it's own window and shaders turned off until render time.
