Uploading movies: best resolution to use.

What's the most convenient resolution for rendering movies in order to be uploaded to the Movies section? In my own experience, using a high resolution/high bit rates can result in some sort of stuttering, particularly in dolly shots, that's not observed locally.

The movies shown on our website have been encoded to 768x432; my guess would be that submitting them at that resolution would probably lead to the best results.
