I am trying out making movable props. I have worked out how to get forward and backward movement with yaw for turning. but but when i try to move my model upwards the front of the model flips so that the front is pointing up, which i don`t want, i want the model to stay in the same orientation, or perhaps a slight pitch, that levels out, back to the horizontal orientation at the top of the movement.

any help would be helpful.

PS I model in sketchup

It can't. All prop motion is based on the car model at the moment. My campaign to have full XYZ control is nearing completion though, not long now hopefully.

If I understand the implications of full XYZ control correctly, not only would it make all the serious animators happy, it would make Moviestorm a useful tool for artists who wanted to pose characters as models or use them in comics.

I think that would justify importing the full moo-ha-ha with triple echo audio plug in.

I think that is slightly different isn't it? Wouldn't you need to be able to use keyframes on the timeline for that?

using the same movement gizmo that we have in the setbuild page in the directors view, would be absolutely fandabidozie.

Thats what I'm pushing for, full keyframed XYZ translation and rotation of props at least.

We've been able to do that since Chris did his Milkshape tutorial wink.gif

Hey Chris,

Any news on the XYZ thing? My curiosity is piqued.
Sango: "If it was really a miracle everyone would have been saved."

Vargas: "But if everyone was saved how would anyone know it was a miracle."

Sango and Vargas arguing over the implications of one person surviving an unexpectedly active tidal season.

I am still hoping to one day be able to flip a nav-mesh upside-down with the character hanging off the bottom. tongue.gif
