Swords are coming very soon. Our efforts have been taken up recently with the testing for 1.5, but now that's released we can make the final tweaks to the swords pack and get on the site as soon as humanly possible.

Well I for one am very much looking forward to all the stuff that is out. My only wish is more costumes. I think if there are some royalty medieval costumes, it would help the storyline. The other type of costumes which has been frequently echoed by others are fat and thin costumes. This time would be interested in more contemporary clothing. i.e.)formal and casual modern dress for men and women.

Wonder what is in line for Moviestorm in 2012?

And Merry Christmas everyone!

I too would like to know too how to import Sketchup models into the Mac. The only way I can get the windows version Modders Workshop is to download windows Moviestorm and then download windows Modders Workshop. This makes it duplicate copies onto my computer and on top of that the last time I tried doing that the Windows copy of Modders Workshop seemed to stall.

The modders workshop uses much of the same code that makes Moviestorm, and there is not a separate version.

That said, if your modding process is about importing new things, rather than retexturing existing things, then you only need Base, Core and ModdersWorkshp addons in your install for using the modders workshop.

In a new install, open boot/boot-win.properties (if you are making a windows version, which I think you are), and edit the line
autodownload=yes
and change it to
autodownload=no
(you can still download addons from the 'get more content' menu).

The modders workshop starts substantially faster if you dont have lots of addons.

Hi all,

We are currently in need of an English teacher for a case study for a write up about technology in education. So any users, teachers or students, who have used moviestorm for English lessons or work please step forward. We would be delighted to involve you in this.

Kind Regards,
Alex

I agree with Corthew. Just a standing holding hands will get a lot of mileage. For instance you can start with a close up shot of the hands coming together. Then you can have the right camera shot from distance and with close placement of the actors walking synchronizing to make it seem like they are holding hands while walking. Another one that will get this to appear in a lot of movies is the arm over the shoulder, the head on the shoulder. Again these can just be standing or sitting animations because they say a lot by that one posture and can be used in so many contexts for different movies.

These are for the more advanced and ambitious
I don't know if others have suggested but I would love to see 1) slap on the face 2) pulling of the arm 3) martial arts open fist strike and defense 4) martial arts kicks (combined with blown away and jumps should be the final ingredient necessary to do some awesome martial arts films. And the ultimate is the 5) John Woo films of holding two crossing guns and firing simultaneously. Yep, that with a trench coat and sunglasses would look cool.

I really want you to achieve that.smile.gif

If you can just get them to hold hands while standing side by side that would be awesome as well.smile.gif

Possibly a head on a shoulder.
A peck on a cheek.
