Hi everyone,

 

I spend my time recreating lost episodes of Doctor Who, and i am in need of a custom costume. It shouldn't be particularly difficult to make but i have been unable to do it myself.

 

Can anyone do it for me? I will gladly pay you in any form you wish moviestorm credits, paypal, bank transfer etc.

 

Please help.

There must be someone somewhere who can create costumes, will pay handsomely.

I am not sure that anybody does this anymore. I have had really bad luck...

Yes i know its quite depressing, 

 

If necessary i will try to repaint parts of one of the existing costumes, but it is very hit and miss and allows no alteration to the actual shape of the outfit.

I feel your pain. I will admit that it is a skill that I wish i had and it's missing here. Many people here say that it is not worth the effort. Quite frankly, I do not understand enough yet to contemplate how hard it is to do.. But generally people create inactive mods quite easily, probably then interactive mods and finally costumes. So, it seems that it is really the hardest thing to do. I have only converted 3ds models into MS. Everything else is a mystery.

Yes i have spent hours trying to get a prop i made into being a handheld prop tried 3d Maxx, blender, milkshape, even merging a current hand held prop with my own and nothing will work.

Have you gone through the 3DTree's tutorial on this. I have read threads where other modders thanked him for the tutorial. PapaG has created many mods. I am sure he is an expert. Maybe he could help...

I surely hope that Moviestorm develops an entirely new wardrobe real soon. I hope he or she finds someone to create those costumes. It's getting really hard to create additional movies while using the same limited wardrobe.

Have you tried Chris Ollis at Moddingstorm? He does take on paid commissions.

Yes unfortunately £250 for one costume is above my budget, a £100 would be the most i could manage as i don;t make money from these and hav to pay out of my own pocket for them.

Chris Ollis doesn't do costumes or props anymore. He told me that he has moved on from doing it.

Well i have been emailing him and he said he would but the cost is just too high for my project.

Sadly Moviestorm is a victim of its own success. It promised to make movie-making cheap and easy for ordinary bods - which it did. But we rapidly outgrew its technical capabilities and demanded things the architecture does not easily allow. So making costumes etc. is time-consuming and not cheap.

Yes it's a shame as its easy to create static props but handheld props and costumes are very complex, and compounding this lots of people who were prolific modders in the past have given up.

Interesting, I have asked him a few times before and he has said no every time.

Maybe, but he never said anything about price, he just said no. If he is I'm glad. I have already asked him twice and he said no. So, when i hear no twice it's pretty clear to me. 

That is why i thought it was odd...
