By using a green sky you can place a different image or footage into the sky.

Most editing programs allow you to 'knock out' the green (or sometimes blue or another color) and superimpose new images there.

Your local TV weather forecast is a good example. The forecaster isn't really standing in front of a huge map or monitor, they're standing in front of a green or blue backdrop. The background you see is a separate image.

The accurate, technical name is Chroma key.

thanks. i know all about green screen i just wasn't sure what files you guys were talking about and where you were downloading them from and where you were placing said files in the moviestorm directory.

Click on the 'Download' icon in the first message.
It is a zip file.
Unzip that and follow the simple instructions in the Readme file.

When you work on the set, pick the green sky.
then paste PTERODACTYLES into the sky over your actors!
